Default First time at the track with the new wrx.

alright so this is the first time ive been at the track with the wrx. it has 2400 miles on it so i figured that was good enough. it was my first time at the track with an all wheel drive car so i think i did good. it was a street night so there was no track prep and once i got the hang of launching the track was screwed and i was spinning up to 5500 rpms so i really think i could have nailed a 1.7x 60 foot if it was prepped. It was only an 8th mile (I was at Old Dominion Raceway in Manassas VA). My best time was a 8.074 in the 8th and on that run I had a 1.862 60 foot (i had a better 60 foot on other runs). anyways, judging by others who have run the full quarter mile on here that had 8th mile times id be running right around a 12.5-12.6 quarter mile which Im happy with for my mods. I honestly think i could cut that to a 12.3x quarter mile with some track prep and a darn good 60 foot. anyways, heres the pics for proof. My mods are: Perrin downpipe, Import Racing equal length header and up pipe, AEM cold air intake, and a custom tune from clark turner. stock fuel, stock catback. let me know what you think.

What did you launch at? I ran my 2010 300whp/310 trq. wrx and my fastest was 13.8. I know i have more in it , i'm guessing a 13.2 . Your 0-60 are crazy my fastest was 2.168. Which I think is still fast for street driven car. Full interior and custom sub box in hatch. Was yours DD setup or did your remove things for weight. And tires slicks or street?

scooby-roo, you should still be able to hit 1.7 60fts even in a street driven car. a 1.7 would put your car deep in the 12's

great 1/8th times!

Wow...that thing is moving! 86 in the 1/8th. Definitely a 12 sec quarter mile there.

Curious, do you know what the car weighs?

hey guys.
1. My car has no weight reduction. ran it just like it came from the factory. so 3174lbs plus me (190lbs) plus 3/8 tank of gas (6-7 gallons so 35lbs).
2. Stock tires from the factory.
3. launching at 4k, when the light turns green i floor it, barely let the clutch slip for a split second then off i go. like i said, at the end once i got the hang of it i was spinning up to 5500 rpms. I know i can get a low 1.7 60 foot.
4. dont know the DA, it was old dominion dragway. my mph was high bc i shift freaking fast as crap so i lose basically no time there.

my goal is with injectors (850cc) and a walboro fuel pump w/ upgraded top mount to get a 11.99. its a big stretch, but i think it could be possible.
Thanks for the compliments!
