BRZ sounds more like a Honda model to me more than a Subie model. Thanks for posting that up. I was just checking to see it was posted yet.

Neat! Zenith?

While I'm not a fan of the names of cars being letters, I do like it when they actually symbolize something!

Can we get a different name in the US that doesn't advocate drinking and driving? :alien

Looks and sounds like something for Scion crowd, Bros.
I can just see the "Lids" now.
I guess they didn't learn from that tacky "brotherhood of STI" ad campaign.

screencaps from the teaser site.

Only thing that stands out to me is that the oil filter is on top, so I guess it is probably FB based after all

BRZ's the abbreviation for "bronze"... third place it is.

"Zenith" is dumb anyway, IMHO. It means it's all downhill from here.

Makes me think of Brazil

On the other hand, I wonder if Honda will file a lawsuit claiming it's too close to the CR-Z, especially since Subaru probably chose that name to one-up them.

Anyways, count me excited about the RWD coupe. Car companies need to deliver quality products and profit to their shareholders, and I'm confident the BRZ will be successful.

When do we get to wildly and violently speculate why it's a "prologue"?

.
Hm... The CR-Z is only rated 31/37 with a manual. Wouldn't it be interesting if the BRZ actually got better mileage than the CRZ... the FB gets 40mpg in the impreza with AWD, why shouldn't it get close to that in a lighter car with RWD and DI?

Maybe there is more to this name than we thought.

FB gets 37/27 with CVT. 33/25 with manual in Impreza.

Any guesses on how difficult it would be to add a turbo to one of these?

It sounded fishy too how Subaru was trying to put so much emphasis on the rather Engrish sounding name of "Boxer RWD Zenith" which is probably their out if Honda challenges them in court. There's enough parallels with WRX in BRZ for them to have an out that the name wasn't purely to make fun of Honda.

Honda's IMA system stinks in anything that's not a Civic. What an insult if Subaru's BRZ was faster, handled better and got better mileage

That's just a troll thread no info on modding though. I figure most people will just do intake, exhaust, chip and tune similar to a 370z.

How fat's your wallet? How handy are you with a welder? How crafty are you with math? How easily can you convince your wife that violating your brand new toy car's warranty is a good idea?

Kind of the same answer for every other car, really.
