Exclamation leaving audi dealership and..

so i was bord today and it was super sunny and beautiful outside. Im driving bye the audi deal and decide to stop in my sube was all waxed up and shiney and i aproached the TT's, i was getting ready for the dealer assault when it took about 5 min for a guy to come out...i talked to him about the cars etc etc.. and he was telling me that an audi a4 was faster than a turboed rs?? i was like hellllllo...any way i told him he was wrong and left. leaving the dealership i pull out about 6 car lenghts in front of some yuppie woman driver with a cell phone in hand i stop at a stop light and look in there rear view. i see her look up, drop the phone, and all at one slam on breaks locking them up. She started to fish tail and i moved forward about 2 feet, if i hadnt done that i would have been gettin a new butt on the sube... word from the wise look in the rear view when u stop cause u might be gettin a suprise from a rich yuppie!!!
anyway i felt i needed to share this with everyone

I thought that it was proven that the Stock RS was faster than the stock 1.8T A4. Silly me, what was I thinking? I mean, we all know that the more money and "prestige" you have the smarter and better you are right? Damn, where'd I put that Country Club application? And why doesn't my Martini have a coaster!?!?! "Jeeves!!!"

Oh almost forgot what I was going to say there....

Yeah, I had the Manager of a Toyota dealership start bashing my RS and telling me that it wasn't AWD and didn't have indie suspension. AND that his new 2000 Celica GT-S could "smoke" my RS in the snow.

That is when you just walk away. Someone's allways trying to sell you something.

You should have told that manager to stop "smoking" crack!
-and perhaps wagered a deal to back up that claim of his.

heh heh!

Hey yeah guys! I can see it now, on a nice snowy day, go around to all the jerkoff dealers, let them feed me their lines of BS and then make them put their money where their mouth is!!

heh heh!

I wonder how many will back down. Then I can cause a scene! Raising my voice in front of customers! heh heh! I can hear it now!

heh heh! That should clean out the dealership for a while!

May your line be smooth

I went to test drive a GT-S with my brother, just to see what the hype was about. We got back to the dealership where a couple was waiting to test the one we took. We got out of the car and the salesman asked how we liked it. Right in front of the customers, we began ranting, "This car sucks! It has no power until way in the top end. The 0-60 time isnt really that low unless you rev-limit the engine. Its totally cramped even in the drivers seat. I couldnt get comfortable!" At this point the customers where starting to listen to US!! hehehe. So we showed them a REAL car and directed their attention towards my RS across the lane...

Disclaimer: Nothing against the GT-S, Its just not my sube and the other customers seemed to appreciate our opinion.

getting ot but, took a gt-s for a test drive about 6 months ago with salesman who is a longtime friend of mine. he told me they they've had a few come back in with engines grenaded. the 6 spd gates are so close and loose, people are pulling them back into second after redlining in third and kaboom!!! may have something to do with the experience of the driver, too...

Well as far as the audi thing goes, the 1.8T are slow. A stock 2.5rs would have no problems what so ever in 0-60 and 1/4mile. So a turboed rs would virtually make the 1.8t look like it wasnt even moving.

and a celica better in the snow..dont even get me started!

My 97 Audi A4 1.8T with an APR 1 bar chip and exhaust was dead even with a stock TT 225 at Watkins Glen this summer on the straights. Those cars are not that fast...just cool to look at. The KO4 turbo in the 225 just flows a bit more air than the A4's KO3.

HOLY CRAP EARL! Clear light sales goin good!? Congrats man, great car.

I hate peoples ignorance when it comes to the Sube. Its really just incredible. I've heard so many ridiculous comments about it. From people overhearing people etc...

"That thing has no low end"
"That thing has no high end"
"If it wasn't for AWD it would be nothing"

Really makes me laugh and a little pissed sometimes.

Why is it everyone equates power with performance, no matter what the road conditions? Some guy said I should come up to Chicago and race his Vette. I asked what the snow situation was. He said there's a nice layer on the streets. Hmm...all that rear wheel horsepower on those sticky road tires? Gosh, fella, I don't know. He laughed when I told him I'd win and he'd have get some new fiberglass. Sometimes it's just not worth arguing.

Stories about SUV drivers pre-occupied either with phones or whatever (usually cell phone) are funnie when told but man...I am "dead" serious when this is talked about. I've never encountered so many "life flashes before my eyes" moments than here in MN. Roads and freeways are awefully designed (I can help with that heheh), ignorant drivers who don't know the rules or don't obey them, add the pre-occupied driver on phones, crack, alcohol, sex, whatever and you have one dangerous situation.

This is not funnie to me at all I really HATE and DESPISE people who knowingly and/or purposely drives without a care for others. I could care less about that person to even say without a care for themself or others.

It all depends on what kind of Celica. Mmm... All Trac...

Either way, it's a good thing that you kept your eyes on the rear view mirror. During the winter, I'm always looking out for my rear b/c the SUV people here don't understand the concept that an SUV doesn't make you stop better.

Try racing a 225 TT coupe, I just got one, and this thing will smoke my RS.

I would think a turbo RS would still beat a TT. I mean you'd be pushing at least 230hp or so right? I think the TT weighs more than the RS too, though I could be wrong.

There was a lady behind me on my way to work this morning who was smoking, talking on a cellphone and reading the paper while driving in the rain. Needless to say I had one eye on the road and another on the rearview until I was able to get out of her path.

Another time while visiting some friends in LA, I was on the 405 ~8:00am on a Sunday morning, and there was this lady whom I was assume going to church because she was READING THE BIBLE while driving at 65mph. At first we thought it was a drunk driver who was getting home from some hard Saturday night partying because of all the swerving. Seeing someone reading the bible was the last thing I ever expected.

People really scare me sometimes. I don't mind if you take your live casually, but don't do it at the possible expense of others lives. I really hope they outlaw the use of handheld cellphones in cars. It's just way out of hand.
