235 40 R17 tires on a GC8?
anyone tried this with this mod list?
-MY05 hubs all around -MY06 BBS 17X8 -coilovers(bc) -rolled quarterpanels -have the RS rear lateral links thinking too much...... running 225 45 r17 now, no issues from my searches, some have posted 245's with no issues.....but always GD owners. nothing from GC owners. thanks for any input

I've been researching the same thing.
Maybe this will help http://www.rs25.com/forums/f9/t17554...100s-rims.html Just wondering what top hats did you use in the rear? |

my friend runs that setup, except his rears are not rolled pulled yet. He runs the stock STi tires 225/45/17 BFG's.
I run 235/40/17 RT615's on 17x8 +48 but my fenders were pulled and rolled for 245/45/17 HOOSIERS slick tires, which where too tall IMO. |

No, but this one will help - http://www.rs25.com/forums/f9/t80284...read-rs25.html
I ran 235/40/17 on my old 2.5RS, on 17x7.5 wheels. 17x8 would have been ideal. It is definitely in your benefit to use the RS track width on F&R if you can. If you run the GD track width you're going to have issues stuffing 235 under the metal. Now, I'm not trying to make it sound like it will be an easy fit, it won't be ... it will be tight... |

I ran 235/40-17 on 17x8 +48mm...had to do some fender rolling but nothing huge.
You'll see where you need to do a little trimming near the rear bumer. Now I'm on GD/STi hardware tucking 245/40-18's....that's a bit more serious in regard to making them fit. |

BTW to the OP I ran 235/40/18's on my GF with coilovers with minimal fender roll. Like gheto baseball bat fender roll, old school style. |

^^^^^
+53mm offset will be 5mm closer on the strut side...more room on the fender. Not sure how much room you have on your struts. You may want to measure I've only ever used a baseball batt |

the coilovers created enough room for the 53mm offset then
i guess they might fit its going to cost $45 to complete a test fit(mount bal twice) |
