My friend just put a Tomei titanium catback on his stock 2019 STI. It's one of the loudest exhausts out there imo. Decently loud even with his stock downpipe.

I mean, I guess a straight pipe is always an option if you are keeping your stock cats. Wouldn't be considered a true straight pipe with the stock downpipe, but those would help keep the exhaust less offensive sounding. Will be "very loud" and likely "very annoying" to most too.

I definitely donít want annoying loud like some Hondaís. I worry if I straight pipe thatís what it will sound like. A happy medium I guess. I am for sure looking to get a down pipe ASAP.

Just wondering, but is there a reason you're trying to go SUPER LOUD? If you've already deleted the muffler, and you need it louder, I'm concerned for your hearing and your driver's license.
At least in MA, you'd get pulled over mighty quick.

I love that someone is just going for it. LOL. You go Michelle.

Keep in mind that if you go catless and straight, you're going to need tuning. I don't think your car is going to be happy.

I'd suggest going catless, but still running barrel type (straight thru) mufflers. It'll be plenty loud, but maybe just enough dampened to not damage your eardrums. You'll still want to tune it.

I'd also ask myself if I'd really want to turn my WRX into cop bait.

Went catless! My neighbors definitely hate me. I even hate me at 6 am. Looking to get aftermarket mufflers put on soon. This is coming from someone who loves loud but the tone of it when Iím at high rpms is also really bad.

My GF's WRX has nameless AB deletes and GS catted DP. It's loud, but not obnoxious, and it sounds really nice. The high flow dp changes the exhaust note in a beautiful way.

I ran my STI straight pipe and although it sounded AMAZING, it was also obnoxiously loud. I love loud, hence the DP and 3" ets extreme catback, but straight isn't for me.

Catless is meh

I'll be posting a Nameless axle-back exhaust with 3.5 inch staggered tips and 4 inch mufflers for sale in the near future if you're interested. Would be ideal for what you're looking to go for and would mate-up right to your stock exhaust where you cut the mufflers. I'm not on forums often but have all receipts and paperwork from purchase. Let me know if you're interested.

Maybe a downpipe and tune should be next on your list. Muffler deletes are loud, they don't necessarily sound that bad but they're borderline obnoxious. Going any louder will definitely get you some attention, good or bad. I had some for a year but couldn't take it anymore. Got a catback, it's a much more consistent, deeper sound that's not all over the place. Mind you, I love the deletes and the pops/bangs, but it gets old and soon you'll realize that there's more to just popping and banging. Think about your neighbours, think about the mom driving her kid to school with the window down and you rev match downshift right beside her and a loud PAPAAP travels through her ear canal.

I have an Invidia Q300 Catback exhaust with Catless downpipe, probably nowhere near as loud as you want to be but once you get up in the RPM's it really sings

Maybe look at a catless downpipe and Invidia N1 exhaust. Loud and obnoxious. I had a catted DP and N1 on my car, and that lasted for maybe a year before I went an HKS Sport catback. My already-poor hearing thanked me, I can hold a conversation in the car without screaming over the drone, and my neighbors don't give me nasty looks anymore. Life just got better with a quiet exhaust.

It sounds like a Honda at high rpms. So i figured Iíd get aftermarket mufflers maybe ets or nameless. Im hoping it will tone it down enough for my liking? If not I might just go with the quiet invidia so maybe without cats it will be kinda loud still?

To me the muffler deletes on my WRX is pretty loud, deletes on my STI is quite loud especially during cold start.

They don't drone and inside the cabin WRX sounds good, STI is a little on the loud side for me.

The STI only sounds the way it does because of the unequal length headers on it. Because of the twinscroll turbo on the FA20 UELs will just not work besides the fact that it is suspected of causing issues with cylinder 4 on the EJ25 engine.

I have the Invidia R400 and it is downright boomy with the UELs and I'm hoping the Equal length headers I have ready to go on will help fix that.
