Question Do you need to buy from the dealer who will do service on your car?

I have heard very good things about a dealer who's relatively far away. The reputation of my local dealer is that they have a good service department, but they're a bit expensive.

So, if I were to buy a WRX at the far one, could that possibly cause any problems with getting it serviced by my local Subaru dealer?

Thanks

Nope, you can get it serviced far, you can get it serviced near, you can get it serviced at Pep Boys, you can get it serviced at Joe Bob's Dine 'n Lube.

You can get the car serviced at any subaru dealer ....napa pep boys where ever ......I have learned though ....you want to make your home dealership aware of all service.....I had some trouble a couple years ago with my dealer refusing to fix the cronic RS CEL light do to the O2 sensor, becuase they had no record of me changing my spark plugs ....cause I replaced these myself ....I actually had a little battle with the service manager..........so when I change my oil and do maintenance I always swing by the dealer and show the receipt of oil or parts bought ....makes things easy for later down the road
