I see. Well I guess you internet techs got me there... Ive only been doing swaps on suby honda nissan and other jap cars for years. I collect my info from friends and shops that i work with and sidework. Its mostly out of experience. I must say, I only want to inform and help. So did you need some assistance?

OK, Dylan add these parts to the original post if you want. They might be helpful.

28044AA000 - Axle Nut
32195AA01 - Drainbolt - The smaller one in the tranmission pan on the STi 6MT.
010406200 - Bolt for the STi 6MT transmission pan.

Hello,

great thread!!

I have a MY95 STI Type RA (JDM). I will be buying a v7 STI 6MT non dccd (JDM) very soon. What do I need to complete the swap?

gearbox, linkage, prop shaft and rear diff. All 3.9 ratio. Or do I need anything else?

Thanks.

I may have just missed it in here, so my apologies if this has already been covered. What is the rear axle compatibility for the R180 diffs? Are all of the STIs ('04-07, at least) the same?

I picked up an '06 STI drivetrain, but apparently in shipping one of the rear axles fell off the pallet. I'm not sure if I need a specific year rear axle or if they're all the same.

Thanks!
Pat Olsen

So my 02 axles will slide right on a JDM tranny with stubs? I thought I read somewhere that the spline count was different...
