Default 2015 WRX/STI ARK GRiP Tecno Tip Cat-back

Hello everyone, I got my ARK GRiP installed on 1/7/15 and wanted to get some long term testing done before I reviewed it. Here it goes.

Fitment is on point and it looks great in all angles. No rattles or any unusual sounds. I get a lot of compliments because of how unique the tecno tips are. It has hues of aqua, blue, and purple that really stands out from the tradition burnt tip or stainless tip designs. Of course if tecno tips are not to your liking, you can always opt for the other designs. But i wanna be different from others so i got this First '15 with them

When you first start the car you can definitely tell in the exhaust tone. Cold start is slightly louder than stock but when it idles, its about the same. Then comes the fun part. After mashing the gas repeatedly and doing pulls, i found that there is absolutely no drone at all even when you WOT! When you step on the gas, you will definitely know that there is an exhaust and when you take it easy and cruise, it is very conservative and barely audible. What I like is that when you free rev, downshift, or when you decel in gear, it emits little pops and burbles. This exhaust is more on the subtle side and I feel like it's more for the mature audience. If you want an exhaust that people will hear you from a mile away, this is not for you. Overall, i am very satisfied and happy in terms of performance and looks. it is very tame but you can still hear that distinct ARK sound coming out of it. I highly recommend this and its worth every penny

Immediately after installing, when i took it for a test run and WOT it a couple times, i felt a slight increase in power from the butt dyno. The built in boost gauge indicated that it hit 21.9 psi at one point so the little boost spike might have meant more power hehe... but the response is nicer than the dinky little stock exhaust. After the stage 1 tune, the sound was still relatively the same.

I really love this exhaust and i can't wait until i get my intake, J-pipe and hopefully a header once someone makes one

I'd like to thank Mike and everyone else at Ark Performance for being so friendly, professional, and helpful!
