Default RalliSpec LTD

I'm in the process of having my WRX transmission rebuilt and I'm speaking with a company by the name of RalliSpec LTD in NJ. Has anyone had any experiences with this shop. They look reputable and they have been very responsive thus far but any reference I could get would be helpful .

Probably one of the best area trans shops and lots of Subaru experience.

Look them up in the "vendor review" section, likely a few reviews.

I went there for my sti transmission rebuild, told them issues i was having and afterwards they showed me the parts they removed & replaced
Dave? I believe was the guy who did the work , seemed very knowledgeable and I would recommend them

You will not find another shop as responsive and knowledgable, Dave is the owner and he knows Subarus inside and out. He's been at the Subaru game longer than most anyone out there. Had my 6-speed conversion done there, along with much of the drivetrain.

Rallispec does good work. You'll have no problem taking the car there.

I cannot speak when it comes to transmissions, but when it comes to high dollar motor builds, he has a 0/2 batting average with me. 1st one with less than 500 miles, the second one with less than 1k. First one spun number 4 main, taking rod and crank with it. Second one seems to have hydro-locked last spring, but I have been to fed up to pull it apart. First time he blamed the tune (remote tuned by Mike "Mikey" Botti), second time he has blamed the "cobble of parts", the car, trying to drive a race car on the street, me for decisions that I have made (generally asking Dave at every critical decision point). I have all of the correspondence, and am willing to answer any questions, but buyer beware. I left nothing to chance on the second motor. He did the re-build, the re-install, and took the car to JR to be tuned (462 AWHP), since he determined that he was not capable of tuning it without a dyno. In something like 4 years, I have put 1200 miles on my car. I am to blame for most of the duration, but that is two kicks in the teeth. Hard to keep throwing money at it, with so little enjoyment.
