These (any blanket really) are a must for tmic cars... I can't speak for hp increase or spool etc because I have never logged any before or after... However...in daily driving, especially summer, you will notice a huge difference in engine response and iat etc etc etc...

These are worth every penny.

trying to settle a debate, how do you guys feel about turbo blankets on stock turbos? helpful? or only on an upgraded turbo?

I think the blanket with the shield is a good move. Considering it myself since I haven't put the turbo heat shield on. The factory one has been off since I installed my downpipe and TMIC. I wonder how long it takes the turbo to cool down though. I think it's fine driving with out one but when idling is when the left side of the TMIC gets warm. You can still touch it and rest your hand on the TMIC but the right side is cool to touch and that's what I want the other side to be more like.

I saw this thread a week or two ago and now update. I'm looking to purchase their up pipe blanket because the weld on my factory up pipe heat shield broke, is rattling and setting off my knock sensor. I might purchase this weekend anyway because I plan to remove the factory shield in the next week weather permitting.

Pre had these in stock I bought one for my stock turbo anything to keep the heat down.
