Default Replacement coupler for the APS turbo inlet, need a 2.4"

I am purchasing a used APS hard turbo inlet for my 2004 WRX, but the previous owner had a 3" turbo size and I need a 2.4" coupler that's kind of offset.

He can't find the coupler and reduced the price, but all I can find online is an Agency Power replacement coupler. Is this a decent replacement? Any better suggestions?

So you want to add a reducing coupler from 3" to 2.4" on the end of the turbo inlet?

Wouldn't that throw off the overall length and create fitment issues, particularly around the power steering high pressure line where the inlet is bent?

I had a hard enough time just getting my 2.4" flexible inlet installed, couldn't imagine adding another variable into the process with a hard inlet none the less.

What's the reason for the purchase? Is your inlet so badly torn that the car is inoperable?

I say wait for a used 2.4" inlet if possible, the reducing coupler sounds too mickey moused.

Your car, your choice.

Wow. Sooo, the APS inlet came with two couplers. A 2.4" that is made to fit the turbo'd opening...ya know, where the turbo inlet meets the turbo. My td04 was a 2.4" turbo, as is the Vf48 on my car. They offered a 3" coupler for larger aftermarket turbos.

You're not understanding.

I'm talking about the end that meets the actual turbo. It makes a 3" hard turbo inlet reduce to the opening size of stock Subaru turbos as mentioned above.

Heck, if you google an APS inlet or am AMR inlet you'll understand, possibly.

Yes my inlet is leaking.

I have a black powder coated manifold with IAG TGV deletes, ID1000cc's and a handful of other stuff all going in at once.

Thanks for trying but you were so far from even talking about what in trying to ask about...

Anyone else tell me if the AP 3" to 2.4" coupler is a good replacement for the APS's one I don't have?

if its made of multi-layer reinforced silicone, then it doesnt matter who makes it, it will be fine.

https://www.rallysportdirect.com/par...2-5in-3in-blue its 3in -> 2.5 inch, but this coupler should work just fine for you, cheap too! Not sure if the offset is a big deal though

Haha easy killer, I've never dealt with the hard inlet but it sounded like a standard nasioc peanut gallery question.

Good luck.

That one is not going to work. The APS 2.4" to 3" coupler is offset to one side. Having on that just tapers down in the middle doesn't fit.

I used one of these with my APS inlet. I had purchased the AMR inlet for my other car but never installed it due to fitment, so I just had it sitting around. When it came time to pull the manifold with the APS inlet, I swapped out the couplers as the old one was toast. It fit well enough. Get a couple Turbosmart/Murray clamps and lock it down and you're good to go.
