I am not sure but I bought it from IAG and perrin would not replace it they wanted me to buy a new one so I just made it work with lots of swearing.

I installed both V1 and 2 and never ran into any fitment issue. Spraying lubricant on the hose before installing makes it really easy.

So far no CEL after installing Perrin inlet; I am going to hold off on the installation of O2 sensor.

Has anyone had this code, and your car runs fine, but occasionally at a stop light (when idling) your car will just stall??

I've had this code for about 3 weeks now and still can't figure out what has been causing it.

I got P0171 cruising on the interstate, cleared it but it came back the next day same time (driving home from work). Cleaned MAF with non-chlorinated Brakleen and added a bottle of HEET to about 10-11 gallons of gas and it has been off for a good 200 miles or so.

I've had STi pink injectors for probably 100,000+ miles and they were used when I got them. Don't know if they were ever cleaned or if I needed to use injector cleaner after the car aged this much but I was considering it and then I got the P0171, heheh. I think my front O2 is only maybe 30,000 miles old if that and I haven't run leaded fuel in the car since I replaced it so I don't think the front O2 had anything to do with it.

I run a K&N intake that I'm sure is good and tight and the car was tuned with it but I had not cleaned the MAF in a long time when I typically clean it occasionally so perhaps oil from the filter disturbed the MAF.

Hopefully cleaning stuff keeps it away, I already fight with a P0122 occasionally that I've tried to resolve but haven't been able to fully get rid of it.

Could a leaky injector o-ring cause this code? I'm 50/50 on injector o-rings being bad, and a full-on intake manifold gasket failure.

US, thanks for the diagnostic procedures.

If my fuel pressure test checks out okay, then pressure sensor will be checked next.

look, I used my OBD2 scanner and here's how I would gauge this code:

You look at the short term fuel trim and at the long term fuel trim, on the same screen, after a reset.

You will see how the short term fuel trim goes up to the max, which may be 25 and then starts to vary around that number.
2 minutes later, the long term fuel trim goes from 0 to 1.

Then, long term will gradually go up to something like 10. By the time the long term fuel trim goes up to 10, (probably in 10 minutes or less) the short term fuel trim must start to show some signs of life and move away from being pinned at maximum.

The more it takes, the more severe problem you have.
If by the time the long term fuel trim is at 14, the short term is still pinned, you will get the code within minutes.

Here's where I'm going with this. I'm starting to learn a few things from my tuner. We did together the rescaling of my injectors, with the open source. We first re-scaled them per what the lab said they were, 696cc.

The trims stated to act like I have the lean bank 1 code.

We tried a smaller number and then eventually, got one where the adding fuel was reduced to minimum.

So, maybe it's a good idea to take advantage of that open source and get a cable that allows you to look at your injector scaling table and get a second opinion, maybe on romraider, as opposed to getting the accessport.

My intention was to just buy "married" AP v1 for cheap and use the cable that comes with the AP to do the logging. I have used Enginuity and ECUexplorer until I sold AP for open source tune. I haven't checked how much the cable costs, but it might be more cost effective to buy married AP v1 for around $60-80.

That will be my last resort if pressure and fuel check out fine.

Thanks Scotty for the manual.

I just checked my coolant temps out, and it got up to 187 F in about 5mins. My needle on my cluster is still in the middle, is the sensor just out of wack and that's why it's throwing the code? I'm gonna replace the sensor tomorrow or monday and see what happens.

corzy666, needle in the middle seems normal, but please keep us posted if you ever have sensor removed.

I am not sure if removal of turbo inlet or intake manifold is needed?

The screws on my MAF sensor are just about stripped, so I want to pick up some new ones. Does anyone know the thread size? I'm sure it's already been stated, but I don't have time to search (in the middle of an install).

Well I was just checked at every store/dealer around here... no one has the coolant temp sensor. I'm ordering it online and it should be here by the end of the week.
I'm 95% sure that this will fix my problem.

I replaced my temp sensor back in my day, it helped with warm-up.
The test procedure from the manual is to let the car sit overnight, get the outside temperature (weather.com?) and turn the key without starting the car and get the OBD2 temperature reading.
Mine was off by 5 degrees if I remember correctly and the new one was spot-on.

I sold my sensor with the short block. I forgot it transfers over to the EJ207.

Vlad, did it involve removing intake manifold or turbo inlet? Temp. sensor is on my next to do list.
