SVX Built WRX swap
So get this, you'll either hate it or love it. I have begun to wrx swap a scrap svx. I have already swapped the rear suspension for all adjustable parts for a wrx including the rear hubs and I have put a full wrx fuel system in too. Both the wrx and svx chassis are completely stripped, the svx is a bout to get wired. The main reason for this tedious project; I have a totaled but running wrx with a built sti motor and spec b trans... The svx is a cool car, low and weird, but the drivetrain has always been its downfall.

Keeping an eye on this one for sure! Always had a soft spot for the SVX. We're really excited to see this come together!

So let's talk about the piston slapper im putting in this buttdragging pocket rocket
The Ej25 motor comes from a Gd wrx that had extensive modification Mainly the motor has the common upgrades(el headers, tgv deletes...), and a ported vf48 turbo The motor is a Iag stage 1 ej257 shortblock with ej255 heads |

Update, I have removed the front end of the car to further remove the original wiring harness and other unnecessary accessories. also, relocated the wing to make it a wang.
If you want to see this project in more detail and see more updates go to my Instagram @rex_mixsvx. wing relocation guide http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=64611 Last edited by rexmix_svx; 03-19-2019 at 05:57 PM. |

thanks for all the support, I would have been happy to fix this h6 up if I didn't already have a built ej.
Big developments, dropped the original h6 and transmission. |

Im probably just gonna sell it soon. I kinda wanna keep it for a later build, but I don't have the storage space. If anyone is interested in purchasing a running Eg33 with trans and wiring, ill make a classified on here.

As a fellow SVX enthusiast and owner, I approve of this build. Too many of them are ripped apart due to the rarity and desirability of the motor making it harder for someone like me to find parts. The SVX is such a cool platform and the Achilles heel of the EG33 is the TPS which cannot be sourced anywhere. I'm happy to see this SVX get WRX bits. If you were closer, I'd buy that EG33 in a heart beat.

Ok, so I've got the trans tunnel roughly lined up and have begun fitting the parts of the interior that depend upon the location of the tunnel. I wish I could have kept the original seats and dash, but I have too much wiring to deal with.

Awesome, glad to see another SVX stay on the road. Where is the Southeast are you? I could probably use some of the SVX parts for mine.

Good new everybody! just got the Ej25 and 5mt into the svx. For right now its just to mock up the fitment. There are places on the car that I need to trim to fit everything for the swap. But now its not just an idea, its all coming together finally. Thought I was joking, didn't ya?

So the progress on the car has greatly slowed as my schedule has become busier, but since the last post I have started to weld the trans tunnel into the car as well as the pedal box portion of the firewall. Now the work is less noticeable, small details that add up into a drivable car that doesn't fall apart going down the road. I will try to get more active on nasioc as well as working on the car, I don't want something with potential sitting , unfinished, forever.
