screw it, i'll be the fun hater on this one.

you might see the phrase "SEARCH" used a lot for this. there is a list of turbos already posted somewhere that will help you decide on the best choice. you might want to fill out your profile as well before someone calls you on that too. there is a lot more than just a turbo that will carry you to that level.

good luck

now with one more gear

gt3082-3582, and it better be a built engine with a little higher compression, some built heads, and a higher redline than 7k

My advice is to research the power capability of the 2.0 and ask yourself do you really want to have those headaches as well as spend that kind of cash. Then ask yourself which one you want, fast spool or the high wheel horsepower, cuz you can't have both with the 2.0

People are overly concerned with horsepower man, I have a guy in my SCCA region who is on a stock internal, stock td04 02 wrx who puts down about 250 awhp. Do those numbers impress you? Exactly they impress no one, but when you see him drive the car, you realize it is number one the person behind the wheel and second the OVERALL setup with the car and what you want it to do? Why do you need 400awhp. Are you going to drag race, track days, solo, street driven? Think about these things and center your build around these things. What turbo can produce 400 horses and fast spool is a poor question in my opinion. Excuse my rant but I hope I have helped, I used to ask similar questions although I knew that 400 awhp and quick spool on the 2.0 was very near to impossible.

To run 400 whp for more than a few minutes on an EJ205, you'll need a built motor. This will not be a 'Stock Powertrain 2.0' discussion, at least not for very long. Or if you have an EJ207, that changes things DRASTICALLY. We don't know, because you've been less than forthcoming with your goals, budget, current mods, or even what car you drive.....

That being said, if you have ZERO idea of even starting points and a range for this kind of power, you're not ready, and neither is your car. Neither, most likely, is your wallet
