And about my smart ass answer, you start answering the same question over and over and over again! It will get annoying to you as well!
i think one thing you often overlook - is that those meaty fitments for the most part are cars that aren't tucking tire (excluding Wirtz, who has far more work done than it looks in pictures).

Guys asking for "stance" are going to be as low as they can go which REQUIRES stretching tires to a degree.

^^ I've never looked at it that way..damn my single mindedness! I guess your right, but a 235 on a 9.5? I would atleast go 245/40, but that's just me.

I guess from now on, the guys that ask "stance" and "stretch" questions will get a answer that will help them but I will also start each paragraph with "I do not condone not suggest stretched tires". That way my message gets across, but I don't come off as such a dick...

Carry on with your questions.

I'm running 265 35 18's on my 08 sti with 18x9.5 +43. Don't run 225-235 that's just silly. At least go 245...and be somewhat safe.

FWIW, a 235 fits on a 9.5 with no issues. They were able to mount mine up without resorting to any ridiculous methods that include ether or an inner tube. Plus TireRack lists a 9.5 on their fitment calculator with a 235 tire and I can't imagine, from a legal standpoint, that TireRack would suggest something like that unless it was "safe".

What class autoX? If your running a stockish class then you are limited to a 245. So I would say go with a 245/40

I just bought these same wheels for my '12 WRB hatch, but I got them in the machined silver color. I'm on stock suspension/ride height and I went with some 255/35/r18 tires so I shouldn't have to roll the fenders at all.

Can I just say the car pictured above is so freakin sick looking? I love the blacked out look on this hatch, it looks so mean with that lip and the wheels...just the whole thing is freakin awesome. Kind of makes me think I could give up my WRB someday for an all black look.

Year: 2003 Model: WRX Sedan
Wheel model: Rota grids
Wheel size/offset: 17x9 +35 5x100
Tires: 215/40 on the wheels but might replace with 235/40
Suspension: Raceland coilovers with camber plates
Fender mods: not done yet
spacers: no

Sorry to thread jack but I was wondering what has to be done to fit 17x9 +35 wrapped with 215/40 do I have to roll the fenders?
Sorry I'm new here and am having a hard time finding anything on 17x9 +35

Default Tire height...

Just wondering if a 225/65r17 tire will fit on my 2009 WRX?
the car is still stock ride height. Will be putting the tires on my oem rims.

I do not condone nor suggest stretched tires. But there is a lot of info on this size. It will fit with a 245/40 and a good roll

A 65 series is a pretty large jump from a 45. I can't answer for sure, but just do a little measurement to compare a 45 to 65 and see if it will fit

What year, model? What suspension? Please follow the forum rules..

For most cars, you will need a good roll and maybe a pull. Will also probably need rear camber plates.. But this is for most cars as I don't know what you have.

most likely at least need to roll the rears. stock suspension will flex far more than a proper suspension setup that should be used with big wheels.

What all do you have done for suspension? Any fender work? Could you post a pic of your car in here or send me a link to a thread with your car in it? Thanks

Sedan, Nothing has been done to the fenders yet and the car is not extremely low. I took the coil overs out of the box put them on the car made sure it was level and did an alignment.

You'll need a roll and maybe a pull depending on how low. Hopefully it clears the strut, but it should
