You've been coming off extremely douchey lately. If you just make your statements slightly differently such as...."from the results i've seen on evom and nasioc the MT seems to be the best but some people have had equal success on the hoosier. also, most guys at those high power levels havent really tested their setups on radials...so its really hard to say how well the radials do at those levels."

You see how different that comes off than "kagakkagkadgk - A FACT"
Let just make a poll here on NASIOC and EVO, asking only people with real experience with BFGs and Hoosiers (obviously not me) to vote, and lets see which tire gets the most votes maybe it doesn't make it fact but it can be pass on as a valid assertion.

Maybe I come off as douchey because I tell like it is just like you use to before Phatbotti . I don't mean to be a jerk.

your not a jerk juan, your just the punching bag right now cause you cant state "facts" without backing them up with numbers pictures and or personal experience.

just drop it and move on brother. we all know an all season, a drag radial, and a slick perform different under a varying power levels but like its been said...sometimes amazing drivers make amazing setups pull amazing times on practically flat bald tires.

Punching bag?? Not at all. ... Your missing the point as well. So I will write it out again.. He comes on here claiming all these "facts" but has no real experience on them. So yea, its fun breaking his balls because all he can do is say well this guy did that, and that guy did that to back it up.

The thing with giving credit to the tires is that you're making a huge assumption that the person changed nothing else AND they just didnt drive better. And most people change weight/power/suspension/driving from one track day to the next so its really hard to say that ALL improvements in 60' time are due to the tire selection.

Heres my data....

GP on MT's..............1.33 60'........9.1 @ 151 mph

** ESX on radials.... 1.34 60's ......8.91 @ 152 mph **

A. Forrest on slicks....1.36 60's.......8.8 @ 164 mph

P&L on MT's..............1.4 60'..........8.99 @ 160 mph

P&L on hoosiers..........1.6 60'.........9.8 @ 142

TT on Hoosiers..........1.6 60'..........10.7 @ 130

So can i say radials are better than hoosiers or MT's - a fact?
Update plz! LOL

MT [email protected]

The tire choice is a big part of the 60ft, but driver and overall prep of the car have a lot more to do with a 60ft time. For us the suspension changes are a huge part of our success. Plus I have seen plenty of cars go 1.3x- 1.4x on street tires.

BTW....

I just find it so funny with all the hate in this thread... are you not all people that love motorsports.

JR............you know that you are so respected in this community and a handful of others.

Why put down a member for having a opinion? Let Juan speak his mind...maybe he has valid points....maybe not.

We all come on this site for knowledge...some come to gain, and some come come to flaunt.

I believe you are here to help fellow members gain knowledge and assist in tuning to help cars run their fullest.

Stay true.......

You are right. Every Subaru drag car can and will 60ft that good. It is as easy as just building a drag car.

Since you have an EVO.. How would you feel if you went 10.8s with your green/red and I came on here and was like.. Blah.. I would hope it can go at least 10.8s, stock 9 turbos go 10.2s.. Knowing how hard it actually was to go 10.8s with your setup, wouldn't you think I was a jerkoff?? or just some idiot who thinks they know it all.

See my problem here? You have a lot of clueless guys, or guys that just read read read and then think they know it all. That is what gets me going, I enjoy breaking Juan's balls, and anyone else who thinks that everything is a simple equation, math problem or some science theory..

Yea.. I used to enjoy helping people.. but a lot of those people turn around and become "experts" and then talk a lot of ****. Now a days I enjoy helping those that come to me for it, whether in person, email, pm, phone call. Seems like a lot of the old heads that helped get these cars going hard are just sitting back and laughing at how it has just become a bragging section full of know it all's doing the same **** that was done yrs back.. No advancement, just arguing about dyno graphs

BTW!!!! None of that was directly related to you. I actually enjoy your post. You like to stir the pot.. I love stirring pots!

Jr

Nothing but love here.

I think one of reasons that people are having this mentality is that here lately, it seems like everyone and their brother has become a TUNER.

Which in turn makes the individual feel like he is now a expert in all Subaru Related information. Hell....maybe i should start tuning cars.

Junior........will you teach me everything you know?

and how much have you changed with the setup, since our last discussions? or did eddie just start mashing
you went from 1.5's and being happy about it, to 1.3's...

if you go 1.2's and sub and add some power, 8.70's Good job JR. Thank's for the good chats, my man.

Nothing other then the new center diff we are trying out and another 5psi out the hole. Everything else has remained the same, suspension and tire pressure wise.
Never happy with a 1.5, we were happy with mid/low 1.40s leaving with less boost while eddy got comfy with the new goods.

He is comfy, and we are shooting for 1.2s.
