Default Redlinegoods.com (shift boot, e-brake boot, & armreat cover)

I have been looking around for a vender for a black leather with red stitching shift boot and e-brake boot to match the red stitched seats and steering wheel in my 2010 WRX sedan.

Redlinegoods.com makes leather ones that are vehicle specific, they also make a matching center armrest cover for the extended armrest and non- extended armrest (they can also add padding to it). All three for around $120.00ish depending on options (stitching, colors...).

My questions:

Does anyone have any experiences with them? If so, how are there products (fit and finish, OEM matching...)? Another venders out there with good quality. I figure I need something of good quality, for durability and OEM looks.

Also in my buddies 2011 WRX sedan (which has the leather option, Limited model) the door armrests have the red stitching that matches the seats and steering wheel. Does anyone know where I can get them done the same or should I go and get OEM replacement parts? (I did send Redlinegoods.com a e-mail asking about the door armrests.)

Thanks

PS: I did search the forum extensively

Howdy,

You are welcome to review our services for your vehicle on our website (www.jpmusa.com). I believe you will find what you are looking for. Additoinally, we do offer a replacement door armrests. With respect to our GR product line, we use a pebbled grain leather (genuine Italian) similar in color and texture to the OEM as well as a thread which we recently found that is near identical in color, weight and luster to the OEM. All of our products are available in, or may be built from, genuine Alcantara as well. Our patterns are built from OEM and modified in key areas to improve aesthetics. Our products are 100% made at our facility in the USA and come with a warranty against defects in craftsmanship.

*Note that the red stitching featured in this photo and the first is brighter than OEM.

Cheers,
Alex

I've used redline for one of my other cars. They were awesome. Produced something custom for me and it was exactly as I wanted. It took a little for shipping, but otherwise; they do a great, great job...

I'm planning on doing all of the above (boot, ebrake, armrest) later this year from them...

Don't know about Redlinegoods.com but JPM Coachworks makes some very high quality pieces.

Here is a guy Law who went crazy with his 08 STi and JPM did all the work.

I highly recommend Redlinegoods. I had the e-brake boot and shift boot and the color theme flowed really well. Matched stock interior on my 09 wrx perfectly. Quality is excellent; if i remember correctly they source all of their leather from Italy.

i have redline but wouldnt mind getting jpm's next time. Redline fitment its good, color matches well but just don't get the 1" shorter boot. It's too tight and it's starting to pull up and out. I've made a fix for now, but might try jpm's stuff in the future. Looks really good too.

Here's a vid I made of the install I did of the redline goods boots. It shows how well it matches the stock stitching. (Armrest is stock)

I didn't know about JPM coachworks at the time of purchase but they seem to make great products as well. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with either

enjoy

I've seen both side by side and must say that JPM blows redline out both in quality of material and workmanship. Redline's boot feels like something that should have APC written on the package and was purchased at Pep Boys.

+1 for JPM

Jpm is the way to go.
Although I just got an ebay special from a gent in england that did a leather center armrest cover (damn hard plastic). I have to install myself, but thus far it looks decent and was very cheap.

I've had Redline stuff on several cars over the years. Always good quality, fit, and price. Maciek periodically posts up discount codes as well on some sites (not sure about here or not, but you can find them with a quick google search).

Always been happy with their stuff.
On my 09 wrx:

I can't say anything about JPM since I haven't had their stuff, but saying the RL stuff "should have APC" all over it is ridiculous. It is clearly Italian leather (I lived in Italy, so I kind of know just a bit about Italian leather), the stitching is precise, and the fit is perfect. And since Italian leather isn't very expensive in Europe.....it's around $100 for ebrake, shift, and armrest all together (looks like about $250 for the same pieces from JPM, but they probably have a "set" deal as well) The set we had on my wife's old car she absolutely loved (and wives know good material and stictching, lol).

My one and only complaint on RL for the WRX is that the shift boots are made for a short shifter rather than the tall stock WRX lever, so it sits a bit low at the top. But you can request that they make them taller, as some people I know have. Or they may have fixed that since I got mine 3 years ago when they were first making the 08+ pieces.

For the OP: up to you ...I'm just telling you what I know from firsthand experience...that you'll be happy with either. Doesn't matter to me what you decide to do, lol.

I'm going to install a Kart Boy STS and bushings when I install the new shift boot. I think the slightly shorter RL "stock" boot should work.

Alex at JPM rocks. That top picture in his response is actually my setup. The craftsmanship and customer service is insanely good. I wouldn't use anyone else for my interior. He will be doing more of mine for sure!!

His latest Subaru STI project is nothing short of incredible. When you get your shift and e-brake boots from these guys...you are getting this same workmanship...

Well stated. What matters most is that the product fits and functions as it should. We've had the opportunity to see several of the RL products first hand and while our two companies may offer products with similar goals, our production techniques, materials and threads differ significantly. Ultimately, anyone purchasing any modification for their vehicle should educate himself on his options and chose accordingly. We're happy to send samples to any customer who requests them. If you're interested in such, please do not hesitate to shoot us a PM.

Cheers,
Alex

+1 for redlinegoods, they are in Poland so they take a few days to get, but fitment and quality is great, I have their shift boot and e-brake boot, leather with red stitching in my car.

Redlinegoods is ok. Had mine for several years. Avoid the tan. It's gets dirty really fast.

Sweet video, thanks CoB - I've got redline shift and ebrake boots sitting in my garage and plan to install next weekend after bushings/kb ss installed.

Thanks and even though not installed, the Redline red stitch boots gets a plus +1 from me. Great product and value.

Are you sure you bought from the same company the rest of us are talking about?

I have Redline boots in both my Mustang and my Subaru. The leather is very supple, stitching looks great, no complaints whatsoever. When I switched from a 5MT to a 6MT in the Legacy, I had to order a new boot. I couldn't remember what length I had ordered for the 5MT boot, so I shot Maciek a PM here and he was able to look back in their records (it had to have been 4 or 5 years earlier) and tell me what I had gotten the first time.
