I thought going back to stock would look like a monster truck but it was all good, I don't mind it at all.

I'm going to rock stock for the week and add the sway bars sometime before the weekend. I'd like to get a good feel for the difference on the stock setup before I switch the springs/struts.
Did you have the coils set to a higher damp. level? I was under the impression you could come at least somewhat close to stock damp levels and right height with adj. coilovers.

I had the Stance coilovers set to 0 out of 15. I once tried to run a 4 of 15 but I think my fillings were going to fall out, lol

At zero the dampening was probably 2x as tight as stock but add that to spring rates of 7k & 9k, you can imagine how harsh the ride was.

Wow. Just went through this entire 51 page thread while watching the Oscars. It was cool being able to follow your past two years all in one go.

Who doesn't love a SWP hatch, right? There were a few things that I was going to reply to (but knew I should wait until the end) and in the end it wasn't needed. I went through many of the same decision processes as you and so many others that have benefited from this thread.

I went different ways from within your same list of considerations, TE37SLs in 18x9 +45 (on conti DW 265) for summer, Greddy SP Elite, KW v3 coilovers, etc., but it was a very entertaining read following along with your choices/reasoning.

The amount of time and effort you have put into your build is outstanding. Congratulations!

Andre

Looking forward to installing these this weekend. I'd like to do them today but I wanted to take some install pictures and my car is a mess after the snow storm yesterday

Not yet, my driveway still has a solid 4" of snow on it now and another 6" more coming on Wednesday. Slight delay in the process...

Hey Andre, thanks for taking the time to read through the whole thread, I don't think I've even done that yet, lol

I'd love to see images of your car as I still think about getting super laps and would be interested to know how 265's fit on a 9.5" rim. I was disappointed about how narrow the 255's on the 9" were and wonder if it's the same for the 265's on a 9.5"

I'm assuming the DW's just run narrow than star specs or similar.

It'll all depend on weather. If I rush home tomorrow after work and dark I could cover the driveway and attempt to put the sways on. Just jacking up the car in the snow isn't the best idea.

I would still like to do it though, just to see

The TE37SLs are 9", not 9.5". The 265s fit pretty nice with no roll - they seem to be a narrow tire vs other brands.

I don't have any good pics of the setup since it's still winter here in Canada too (obviously), but I can email you one from this past fall if you pm me your email...

Wow, 265's on a lowered GR with no rolling, wish I knew that before I rolled and slightly pulled my own fenders

No worries... I have jack stands on the frame, I know better. The wood blocks are just used to compress the suspension to tighten the sway bar.

Finally thawed out and hanging by a warm fire. That sucked out there...

Snow storm or not, the install had to be done. Suspension parts get impatient when uninstalled. They can only sit idly by for so long.
