Default Discount Offer from OEM Audio Plus for NASIOC Members

http://bit.ly/NASIOC-Nick
(link should enter the coupon code automatically on checkout)

Coupon Code: thegodfathersentme

About a month ago I installed one of their 2015 STI/WRX | System 400+ kits in my '15 STI, and loved it so much I got in contact with them about offering a discount for NASIOC Members. They came through and are offering $100 off any kit until the end of September.

My Install/Review thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2742277

I hope this discount helps a little bit for anyone who was interested in their kits, but having trouble getting together the money. Enjoy!

At checkout it says the discount is only for purchases of $999 or more. Lame...

They seem to make a decent product, but they are just so expensive.

I thought about going this route but decided to go with an underseat subwoofer. I think that'll be enough to improve the Stock Unit/Speakers on a 16' WRX. If not, I have a few more weeks to save $100

Thanks Nick. I miss their last sale so this disc. is welcomed.

Seems way overpriced to me. I'm looking into a JL Cleansweep to clean up the sound out of the starlink headunit. I plan on purchasing a nice component speaker set for the front. Then I'll use the 4 way amp I already have bridged 180rms to my JL 10 single sub and 60rms to my front 2 speakers. I plan on disconnecting the rear door speakers because I prefer a strong front stage stereo sound, and I'm not worried about sound for the rare cases when I have rear passengers. Pretty sure they will hear the sound out of the front speaker just fine!

Even if I didn't already have 1/2 of this setup sitting in my shed, I could still spend $300 on an amp, $300 on the Cleansweep, $300 on the component speakers, $100 on a wiring kit and blow away the OEM + system. Granted install is not as simple, but it's completely within my skillset as I've installed systems like this multiple times in the past. The OEM+ system seems like the best bet only if you don't want to fuss with a more complicated install, but far from the best bang for your buck. The fact that it uses the stock speakers is concerning. Have you looked at those yet? They look like they should cost $5 a piece! I can't imagine any amount of audio processing can fix the inherent poor quality of these speakers. Maybe if you already have the Kicker upgrade it's worth it to go OEM+, but then you've already paid $400-$500 for upgraded speakers + $1200 for OEM +. You could build a ridiculous system with aftermarket items for $1600 including a new headunit.

Or you could just get the Alpine amp that goes behind the headunit + Cleansweep + replace all 4 of the stock speakers for the least expensive stereo upgrade. This could easily be done for under $800.

I encourage you to find someone and have a listen before you say you can blow OEM+ out of the water..no way you can have a plug and play kit retaining all swc with custom sub enclosures and a dsp amp for less. I had about $2,500 into audio on my last suby and oem+ sounds better, granted not as "loud", but no wear near the sound quality. I was a huge skeptic too before I listened and ended up buying the dual subwoofer kit.
