You can install them yourself. I installed them with a mechanic that helped out so I know what I was doing, but the instructions are pretty forward, meaning the COBB cam instructions. You will need tools, and a Torx PLUS 40, not a 45.

Cobb Cams are $499+$400 core charge until you send the old cams back.

there's several good threads if you search here and even in the old Technical Forum Archive. put another word in there in addition to just "cams", try "install" or "installed"
anyway it's doable by yourself as long as at least one person doing the work has some mechanical experience. I'm not saying they need to be a pro, but you can avoid mistakes if not everyone is green. it's still not that hard and CT gives you good install instructions. you might find some comments from people who have paid to have their cams installed by searching too. off the hip I'd guess the rate would vary a little, but should be maybe $400-600. btw, cobb tuning street cams work better with other modifications like intake, exhaust, headers. maybe light porting. |

I plan on installing some myself in the next couple of months. And I have seen the install instructions and it looks pretty straight foward.
