Fool I AM the Dark Side.

Yeah, I ordered the parts I wanted from the STI tS and got the rest in the flat black. They accidentally sent me FIVE left knee pad center console covers, so I'm going to try and paint one gloss black to see if I can get it to match the tS pieces. If now then I'll have it paint-matched professionally. Then it just leaves the silver door trim speaker surround pieces, which I guess if I get the other pieces painted I'll throw them the door trim pieces too.

I have always wanted to visit Vermont. Anchorage is really nice here. Because you guys down there have been crappy weather, our weather has been warm and crisp! haha We thank you for your sacrifice!
If you ever want to come to Vermont or the East Coast let me know. I am going to look into a companion ticket. The weather here is absolutely horrendous, but once it's nice my new place is less than a block from the beach.

I plan on coming to the East Coast from Memorial Weekend until June 1st, so maybe I will see you then?

Damn you! I had that concern of newly painted parts being shinier than the car itself. Unfortunately not much I can do. It'll all wear to the same dull in the end, becausealaska.

My grille doesn't discriminate: brown paper bags, Canadian birds, your mom, etc. etc.

??? I thought you had film on there, it should look the same when clean. No wear.. just get film on the trim. Is the tow hook cover plate shiny too?

I *reallllly* need to take some pics but my laziness is epic. With this last storm the car is getting nice and dirty again. 3 weeks ago we had a gorgeous weekend when I got to wash the car and truck. I loooooove full film coverage - all the nasty sand/dirt/debris comes off so nice and the car looks perfect.

I'll have to do some before/after next time

Whut? I have film on the whole front of the car minus the A pillars, yes. Not the mustache, though, until next week.

Yeah, I do wonder about your laziness sometimes. Wish you were less so.

LOL

As for the shiny, I was assuming it's cause it was fresh paint/clear and maybe the rest of the car would match after a nice detailing. Looks a lot nicer than the stamped plastic look anyway.

Canon 50D with 50mm. lol That horizon is way off. I forgot gloves and was shivering the whole time.

Ivan, I have your email address, but I have to find the pics first. My uploading has been all over the place!

My JDM exhaust tip came in today, so I'll be mounting those and taking pics of the Rinzler's rear with the Canon. It's a pretty smooth camera. I'm still having SOME issues focusing, however...

Thanks CJ! That means a lot! I think I liked that one the most, too, but was curious to see if anyone else agreed. I didn't figure out how to mess with the settings much on the Canon by the time the train arrived. I wish I had it tripod mounted too, but overall fairly snazzy for first time use.

Btw, I still prefer the newer Star Wars for casual viewing pleasure over the older ones, I don't care HOW MUCH you butter me up!

:moodkiller:

I installed my new JDM exhaust tips!

I broke a bolt. Like, really? Something so simple and I STILL managed to screw it up!

I'm loving the painted front grill man. You are a bastard because If any other color did that, it would look like crap I think

Thanks Ivan! I finally figured out how to adjust the shutter speed on the Canon on Saturday night. Hopefully I'll get more opportunity to practice with it throughout the week. Crazy busy and not enough light during the week.

Sweet! Thanks Ivan. The reason I sent you those is because I don't have a program that readily reads .NEF (Nikon RAW) files, so I couldn't see any preview of what I was trying to send you. I do have the raw version since I started shooting in both, but it's such a PITA at the moment finding something to use them with. Even Gimp doesn't seem to make it easy since I had to find a 3rd party plugin for the .NEF file format. Annoying. I'm assuming Lightroom or Photoshop would automatically read that file format? I'll try again to send you the RAW files after I get home later tonight.

I can't believe you deleted my nose! Now my BRZ looks like your BRZ's cousin! I like the one with just the LEDs showing. Good job on getting those clouds to pop a lot more! I need to remember to keep the sun at my back. I'll try not to rush so much. Also I need to figure out how to delay the shot because I think my issue might be the slight shake that occurs after I press down the button to take the picture. Maybe not enough vibration reduction with this prime lens?

well...you can set the shutter button to a 2 second delay. so shutter will go off AFTER you depress the button...

yore using a tripod? doesn't seem like you need to shoot at such a slow shutter speed here, the lighting is damn good.

exactly just keep shadows in mind, have the sun lighting the part you need, its something i'm only now learning to deal with, but you get the idea.

happy you noticed the shave

Dawg, I haven't figured out HOW to set the delay... <=== ME

I wasn't using a tripod for the Canon shots. I hadn't figured out how to change the shutter speed until Saturday evening.

Dat nose tho...
