Advice: Clutch + Flywheel installed before tune, or after tune? A difference?
So I want to change my clutch and flywheel out with a Exedy stage 1 organic clutch + ACT Streetlight flywheel. Would having the clutch + flywheel installed BEFORE i get the car PROTuned make a difference apposed to NOT having the clutch + flywheel installed?
I'm trying to determine if I should tune my car now, or wait 3 weeks for my clutch/flywheel to come in and have time to install it. What do you guys think?? Come on, give me some good advice here!!!

I would tune AFTER installing the clutch/flywheel.........and it would be my advice to break in the clutch by driving the car 'normally'---NO launches or any 'abuse'......like normal city driving(highway does not count) for at LEAST 500 miles----and 1k miles would be better.
If you DO this, you will lessen future clutch issues. Do NOT 'tune' the car on a 'green' clutch!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks for the advice. My problem is I wanted to tune the car with the stocker so it wouldnt be so hard on the pulls on the dyno then install the new clutch after the tune. while replacing the clutch im doing a flywheel also... im mainly concerned if the faster revving of the motor will have an effect or "throw" the tune off if installed after..

I still haven't got a straight answer whether or not the clutch and flywheel installation will have an impact on the tune or not....

i dont see how they would, even if it is a lightened flywheel all thats gonna do is allow the car to rev faster and you'll get a little but more power to the wheels.
