No cruise control...
Well, I actually tried using the cruise the other night...which I have used in the past, but not for a while...and it didn't work...at all.
The light went on, on the button, but when trying to set it with the little steering wheel stick, nothing. I did adjust the cruise cable under the hood (thinking it was the throttle, at the time, whoops), would that have done it? I also have an intake on their, but I wouldn't think it's related...

ummm..warranty? riiiight... Well, I think I kinda threw that down the gutter when I cut into my ECU
as for fuses, I did check them all, and they are all good. It could be a plug in the dash, now that I think about it...cause I have taken that apart a fair share of times. Thakns |

well, I'm rather sure that there's no short. I did a good soldering job, and an even better taping job when finished... hmmm...

Check all the vacuum lines. ON another car I had with cruise, one of the lines came loose and it didn't work.

Is it a 5-speed? If it's like my car, there's a switch that interacts with the clutch pedal. There is a plastic stopper covering a hole on the pedal. Check to see that the stopper isn't broken. I don't know why there is a hole there in the first place. Cost for me was $1.45. Hope you can understand my very technical explanation.

JGard18,
If you have no luck finding something wrong in your pedals, you may have to have your "clockspring" replaced in the steering wheel. That's what went wrong with my RS - my cruise and horn quit working. The clockspring, as the mechanics called it, is where all the mechanical connections are for your steering wheel (horn, cruise, wipers, headlights, airbag, etc). Does your horn still work? I hope you find something wrong with your pedals, because it cost me $450 total to have my dealer diagnose the problem and then replace the part. |

Thanks for the advice. Haven't used the horn in a while, so I don't know. Will check it though...
oh, and also will fix myself for much less ...well if I fix it at all |
