how have you found the BRZ help up since you've owned it and how has Subaru been when it comes to warranty issues?

so far i had only a few warranty issues, one was tail light condensation and another was the nav. they fixed it with no issue.

i have to go back to for the window switch issue, but its not really a problem that bothers me a lot.

the car now has roughly 16k miles on it. i've officially owned it for one year tomorrow, i'll do a small write up about it. but i've had no issues at all with the car, looking back now had my sti not been hit i probably wouldn't have made the switch, and to be honest, i'm much happier in the brz.

well its been a year today. its crazy what i've done to it in such a short time but its really not even scratched the surface of what i want this car to be. i love this thing, which is weird because i thought i would hate it coming from my STi.

looking back, i'd do it all over again...minus the getting rear ended by a drunk driver part.

What intake are you running and do you have the headers installed. Still have catted front pipe? I like that tune you got 21whp. I had my wrx tuned from mikey to. If you plan on keeping it n/a how much more power you think your gona squeeze out.

only have a perrin catback and perrin intake/inlet otherwise its stock. no header, no front/over pipe. all cats still in system, so these were gains from just a tune, i doubt the intake and catback influenced much if at all.

i'm hoping to brake 200whp in NA form with simple bolt ons...the rest of the magic will be in gearing and finishing the suspension.

Oh yes. Apparently on unicorn blood you make quadruple the horsepower you would on pump gas. And it's cheaper then e85!

I read through most of your thread and have been very interested in getting a BRZ myself. I have a question about the brembos though, if it was answered earlier then I apologize I didn't catch it..

I read to make brembos completely functional you had to swap sides and redrill new bleeders.

ie. on a WRX/STI Left brembo goes on Left side, Right brembo goes on Right side (which is obviously dictated by the bleeders facing upwards), but I believe for the FRS/BRZ you have to swap them so "Left" brembo goes on Right side, and " Right" brembo goes on Left side so that the bleeders are actually facing downwards to get the correct brake pressure due to the FRS/BRZ brakes rear mounting position vs WRX/STi front mounting position (and obviously because of that, you'll need to drill new bleeders on the opposite side of the brake and remove/plug/leave your old bleeders.

I only ask if you went through the trouble because I want to save my brembos for my BRZ/FRS if and when I get one LOL!

...and if you didn't go through all that with your brembos... have you noticed anything out of the ordinary with your brakes

and also, your BRZ is titties.

NO NO NO.

you DO NOT swap right to left and left to right, if you do that then you avoid swapping the bleader but now its upside down and leading piston is now trailing...yada yada you get it

they mount the same directions. right on right, left on left just on the brz they mount forward on the rotor vs rear on the STi.

what you have to do is swap the bleeders. they come out and then the other side has a hex nut in there so you pop that out and just swap them. However it is a huge pain in the ass. i had to use A lot of heat to get them to break loose and the caliper isn't the prettiest thing in the world because of it now.

Ahh my apologies for the misinformation! Thanks for the clarification though, I now know what to do when it's time
