the drop alone will get you at least -1.7* in the rear so -2.5* will be easy with rear camber plates.

i prefer 255/35/18 for more meat and a far better tire selection.

wheel model: rota grid
wheel size/offset: 17x9 +42
tire brand/model: bfg kdw2
tire size: 225/45/17
suspension: stock
alignment:stock
fender mods: stock( needs to be rolled in the rear though)
spacers: yes/no? size? no

fits but if you bottom out they will rub. imho need to get the rears rolled and get a wider tire. like a 235 or 245

at first I was looking at these:
http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=6461

now I am considering these because of the slightly higher offset:
http://www.ngpracing.com/store/index...roduct_id=4096

I dont mind messing with the fenders, but running that the amount of camber you mentioned for the 18x9.5 just seems like a lot.
Yes the plates you have will be fine.

When you want to run aggressive wheels, plan on aggressive suspension setups which include more camber than is typically run on a normal car.

2.7 is not that bad. Keep up on your tire pressure and you shouldn't experience any uneven wear.

Thanks! but i dont think it will be that hard dmoneys car isnt pulled that much and he is running 255's with a lower offset than me. the 255/35 actually has a smaller sidewall than my 225/40 so that will help out as well

you'll need a lot more negative camber up front though. props for going with 255s.

There is a lot more work to dmoneys fenders than you even realize...

You'll also need to trim the rear bumper brackets, forgot about that one. With your wheels it shouldn't be that bad, but pulling fenders adds a whole nother "oh ****" factor. very very very easy to **** it up.

yeah i understand..im not really worried about running alot of camber up front it comes with the trade. i should be fine with the pulling process, i have done a few that turned out really good just havent done mine since there was no need for it. as soon as i get home and get the tires on and everything dialed in i will post some pics and let you guys know how hard it really was haha. thanks for the input!

Hey guys im gonna start a new trend its called hellastock...

No srsly i have a fitment question, i plan on getting some XXR 521s, 18x8.5 +40 , Im pretty sure im going to have to run a 10mm spacer(similar to linea corse wheels) but im already sitting at -2*F and -1.6* rear, how much camber will i have to go to fit 245/35s or would 235/40 fit better. Minor stretch is ok but im not a huge fan, i can care less how much camber and fender work it takes

you'll find more tires in 235/40/18 than you will 245/35/18. if you dial in more negative camber up front, you can leave the front fenders untouched. for the rears, roll them flat. you can run either tire size with your current negative camber if you use no spacers. if you choose to use 10mm spacers on the rear too, you can either run the 235/40/18 with more negative camber or pull the rear fenders too.

awesome, so basically if i roll the front and rear fenders i can run 2-2.5* front and 2* in the rear, thats not too bad. thanks alot

I'm looking at getting a set of Rota P1 18x8 +48 wheels for my 03 wrx. I'm currently lowered on S-techs (yes I know) and was planning on running a 235/40/18. Was just wondering if I'm going to need to roll the fenders.

probibly not thats really close to the stock sti wheel spacing( 5 mm further out) in the picture above those wheels are 245/45r17 and my car is tucking tire (1/4") and it never hits the fenders

hi guys,

here is my current setup

year:2006
model:ST***304;
wheel model: stock
wheel size/offset:stock
tire brand: kumho ku 31
tire size: 225/45/17
suspension:stock + prodrive springs
fender mods: nothing

considering to have work emotion cr kai. which one fits better to my car: 18x8.5 + 38 or 18x9.5 + 38?

any fitment problems with the 18x9.5?

any pics showing the difference between the semi concave face and deep concave face (face2 vs face3)?

you'll need to modify your rear fenders to fit any of the wheels you're looking at and those springs are too soft. i hope you have prodrive reds.

xxr 521s aren't going to be any lighter. you're looking at cheap wheels, expect them to be heavy.

Xxr 521 isn't actually bad for its size width & lip size it weighs 23-24 lbs. I know quite a few more expensive rims what weigh in the same range or more like for example the ssr sp1. With that size lip & width is in that weight range & those are expensive rims 600-700 per rim. Same with the work vs-xx & Bbs lms alot more expensive then the ssr & xxr rims

I just wanted to get your guys opinion on this setup. What tire size would you recommend and would I need to be doing any fender mods? Finally getting ready to purchase a set and I want to make sure they will fit no problem. Thanks in advanced!

fit no problem? you're looking at an offset that's 25mm too low, +/-3.
