I need a US dealer that would sell parts to Canadians up north. Saving me the time and gas to drive to a package place across the border to pick them up.

That would be nice. I'd love to get ahold of the turn signal side mirror covers!

I've yet to see them as an accessory, they come standard with the limited trim, which is our highest trim.

I wish our parts and accessories are as cheap as yours, even if I get taxed at the Canadian border when I'm bring back the parts, it's still cheaper.

Can't be as much as what JDM proxies are charging ... (stainless steel rear bumper protector - Y12,000 = $278 USD, side mirror cover with LED blinker - Y36,000. I didn't bother asking what he was going to charge for it.)

I do go to Japan from time to time but its hard to bring car parts back. Damn that's some crazy pricing.

Looks great.

yep about 15 minutes a light.....simply pop out the reflector....two clips to squeeze on either side...pop in the new ones...run the wires up behind the bumper...after you take off the rear light assemblies....two screws each.....snap connectors to the back and green wires on either side and you are good to go. Order directly from the gentleman who makes them.....great emails and fast shipping......they look brighter at night obviously, but are noticeable as well during the day......

Why isn't your high mount stop lit up in this picture?

Went outside to check how my brake lights work and answered my own question.. I suppose the additional low mount lights must stay lit whenever the headlights are on. Do they become brighter when you apply the brakes? Are you at all worried about having to weather-proof the spliced wires?

mine dont stay on....you need to check your wiring.....black to black and red to green on the stoplights......mine work specificially as brake lights only.....ifyou followed the directions provided in the box.....they are wrong for wiring for brake lights only....you apparently have them wired as normal lights with your tail lights.....they probably arent functioning as brake lights......again red wire from reflectors to solid green wire on the tail lights.....

I don't have the kit, but I would definitely prefer to have the low mount lights act as brake lights only.. Seems a bit excessive to have them running whenever the headlights are on.

I test it for a while and have some other opinion about maybe i'm gonna wire it only for braking.

Default mods...

We installed the 11 WRX short throw shifter and STI shifter bushing today. I have no idea why the SPT catalog doesn't show them to fit, since they do perfectly without any modifications. It is FAAAAAR better than the stock shifter. It feels much tighter and incredibly more "sport". We did remove the muffler and I drove it for about 5 miles on some twisties and finished on the highway. It is much nicer sounding than some people imply. The exhaust on this car with pzev has three cats and a resonator. It is very restricted and has ample back pressure without a muffler. It is not loud, it is not raspy. As soon as the fabwork is done i'll post pics of the new "muffler".

Nice! I was wondering about the short-throw! Thanks for giving it a try. Subaru should definitely make note of it since there seem to be a number of people that would be more inclined to give the 5-speed a chance if the shifts at least felt better.

He mentioned SPT catalog, so I'm assuming the Subaru STI 5-speed short-throw shifter. I have it and it's beautiful. All of the shifters should work if he's saying the one meant for the 2011 WRX works with the 2012.

Thanks for confirmating.

I know that the STI is a 6-speed (owned one), but if you look at the description when you purchase the SPT Subaru 5-speed short-throw shifter it's usually called the "STi" even if it's a 5-speed.

Did you have to remove any body work or the wheels? I'm looking to order a set and am slightly nervous on the install.
