News Newbie here with the all new Impreza 2012

Not sure why? but everywhere else Subaru is offering the 2012 impreza with the LED mirrors, I am wondering how hard would it be to do a retrofit to my 2012? We always get the bad side of the stick in the USA. Also theirs have the optional folding mirrors too. WTF! Subaru! oh, yeah and the PROJECTOR headlights option too. Tham Subaru!

Are those nicer wheels, too, or am I just seeing things? (Too lazy to Google UDSM Impreza wheels).

Wheels above look like the ones I've seen on the non-Sport models so far.

Cool Those are the upgrade 16"

The next upgrade to the package is the 17" and of course the strip down is the 15" steelies. And the USDM does not get the 18" as usual, nothing for the Americans, again!

Unbelievable. Just like with the '08-11 N/A Imprezas... why not offer the Sport Package (front & rear underspoiler, side skirts) in America? or WRB? I don't understand it.

Well in Canada we got the sport package, I have one. And also the led mirrors come on the 2012 n/a impreza limited models. I'm shocked that Canada get different models than the US

It actually shouldn't be shocking. It happens all the time. Canada has different regulations on cars than the US. As a result, Canada will quite frequently get different models or options.

It's surprising to me because the differences are purely aesthetic. It just seems like it would be simpler for Subaru to offer the same models on this continent and not make a front bumper or led mirrors exclusive to Canada lol

Call Sudbury Fine Cars, they're my local Subaru dealership. They're great.

Tell them Damon Choy (Gary Choy's son) sent you.

Cool

Thanks! left them a message, waiting for them to get back to me. I am wondering if my car is pre-wired for the LED light in the mirror.

I found this picture in one of the other forums , but I also noticed that it's from a 2011 WRX Impreza.

The 2012 also has the mirror on the door and NOT the window sill frame, like last years impreza.

OUCH! each mirror with LED is $400 but I will be the only one in the US with a 2012 with LED's in their mirror.

Wow, you really getting them? I can think of a dozen things I'd rather spend $800 on before turn signals in my mirrors.

Well there is a solution to this, order the mirror covers with the LED cutout and buy the LED seperate from the mirror and that should do it! Now to get the Mirror cover part number and the LED part numbers? The covers will have to be Ice Silver Metallic of course!

At least the canucks have to settle for the 5 speed manuals like we do! Its the Aussies that get all the good stuff.

Did anyone find out which OEM dash garnish is the same exact size as an aftermarket radio opening? For the 2012 impreza, was it the Canadian version or the JDM or EDM OEM dash that fits our USDM impreza like the JDM WRX dash garnish?
