Default Southern CO mini meet, anyone?

Hey all. I know there's quite a few WRX's in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, but all the mini meets are being set up north. Anyone interested in a mini meet in Pueblo or Colorado Springs. Also, I'm up for WRX group drives, too. Let me know. Thanks.

I second that... we need to have a little fun down here too . I vote for all the WRX's making a showing tomorrow night at PMI at the strip and showing what they can do . Hey it's just an idea... however short notice it may be [heh].

Default 6 people so far...

K, we have 6 people ready to roll so far, seven if we wait a month...(ted109: "gimmie a month then il be in town.")

So yeah, we might want to start looking at dates then.

I'll bring the only turbo RS in town. (I don't count Larry as an RS, his is just a no-name beast) I'm still at a sane 4psi. WHich is more than enough to beat a stock or slightly modded WRX.

Count me in!

Also, I'll be doing an all-day install on some new parts this Sunday (possibly Saturday--I'll know tomorrow). I recently did the 30K maintenance and added my GFB pulleys. I really like them since I've been driving around without the unichip.

The big install is the Turboxs downpipe, cat and mid-pipe (to the existing scoobysport) and the turboxs uppipe. If anyone wants to help, let me know, I'll buy lunch or something. I'll be at the USAFA auto hobby shop. It's nice to have a lift and air tools at your disposal!

Once I get all this installed I'll be ready to go to the strip. I'll also drag my buddy along in his 3000GT VR4.

Cool. So it sounds like we're getting up in the numbers. Let's start to compile some available dates for everyone, and get this thing rolling.

Let me know what works for all of you...

Cya!

Default When and where?...

Hey guys. Glad to see we have so many replies. If you guys want the meet sooner than later, we could meet tonight (Fri. 8/02), tomorrow night (Sat. 8/03), or Sunday night. We could make it sometime for next week, too. But how is Sat. 8/03 for all of you? Let me know.

Thanks.

Email me for the next meet. My Rex is in the shop due to a "custom front spoiler" installed by buddy in a jacked up Toy truck.
Custom Front Spoiler= Big dent in hood
Steps to install this slick custom mod:
1. Parallel park behind your buddie's truck one night
2. jump in his passenger seat to go to the club
3. Make sure he doesn't look before he backs up
4. Listen for distinctive "crunch" and loss of rearward momentum
5. Say: "Oh sh**, I can't believe you," as if you're really in shock
6. Order carbon fiber hood, upper radiator support, grill, headlights, etc.

This is a mod that is easily performed by anyone with a lifted truck, and the down-force is incredible.

Seriously, I'd happily take the trip to CS from Denver, to make a meet and see some proven tested mod's.

Default I dont think I want that mod...

Hmm...for some reason, I don't think I'll put that "custom front spoiler" mod on my WRX...tempting, but, I just don't know. he he I was clenching my teeth when reading your story, man, that would suck!! Anyway, Sunday night is good for me, if you all want to make it Sunday, August 4th...let me know. Cya!

Default Postponed?

Doesn't look like we got enough replies for tonight...unless only a few of us want to meet somewhere tonight (I'm always up really late) and have the rest of the guys come to a second and more official SoCO (Southern CO) mini meet at a later date. Well, let me know what you guys want to do. I'm free pretty much all the time until the 26th. Cya!
