I would assume you don't get a VIN until all the cars are scanned at port and then your order is matched.

There is hope.

That's fine, would just be nice to be able to play around with this myself.

I'm not in anyone else's region, am the only one who's ordered anything in the south-east (especially georgia) and so I'm not fortunate enough to share in the group tracking for those areas...

Thanks.

They transmit the VINs when the ship leaves Japan as far as I am told.

However, I think the boat arrives faster than the distribution department can process all the data and pair up the orders....

What I am saying is this is you:

Are ya'll talking about the same thing? There is the plastic bumper cover that "permanently" sticks to the bumper, then there is a bumper protector that does what he did. I like the fact that his is longer than the factory one, but I like the Subaru one because it is a simple Velcro and probably more durable(I am rough).

Subaru. 96% of cars sold in the last 10 years are still on the road. No wait. Make that 95% again. THANKS to drivers like that.

Not sure what cars are on what ships, but a Forester we are waiting on is on a ship due in port on 11/15. It is on it's way to a Mexican port via Honolulu now.

Yeah. I was told it can vary. Sometimes it's right away, other times its a week before it hits port.

For all of you waiting on WRX/STIs, you are luckier than this customer. She ordered her Forester on 6/27 and with that ship hitting PORT on 11/15, we are just hoping the car can get here before Christmas.

Hey everyone, I placed my order 9/26. WRX Limited, 4dr, no nav, no options. Dealership originally said "normally the wait is 6-8 weeks but we're predicting it's gonna be more like 8-10. Closer to 10."

I spoke with SoA today and they said they don't have more information for me at the moment but the wait time has been 8-12 weeks from date of order for everyone in my area.

I never knew! I was only aware of the plastic thing. I wanted something to protect the back of the bumper if I lean against it, not the top. If I knew subaru made a cloth one I probably would've purchased it.

So, I unsubscribed from this thread. But I missed you fools and thought I'd swing by...

...just installed my front lip spoiler, mounted my Subie rack and 1UpUSA bike racks, and had a 35% all-around tint finished today.

And I'm 100 miles from finishing the break-in.

Be patient. It's worth the wait.

So I gathered from scrolling through... Good thing I don't want to get rid of my current car. It's a 2008 Mazda Miata. The WRX is the only suitable replacement starting a family! Apparently it's illegal to strap babies to the trunk luggage rack... who knew? jk.

I am looking forward to the WRX though, I'm just going to miss having the Miata, the RWD, the convertible. I am looking forward to the turbo and the AWD though. I figured it was time for a change and this will keep my wife happy. When did you place your order?

Mine was ordered 10/5.

This wait is leading to compulsion, insomnia, depression, alcoholism, narcotics abuse and nymphomania (poor wife)......
