You ever driven in a legacy with the ej22t?

It hauls some balls compared to the N/A version, especially with some creative tweaking. It won't be as fast as a wrx, but it won't kill you on insurance either.

so to buy a relatively stock turbo legacy the 92-94 is the best choice. and there are wrx components that will bolt on? or require small amounts of fab work?

http://bbs.legacycentral.org has all the info you could ever want for BC/BF/BJ Legacy models.

Keep in mind that while your current car is slow, it'll get far better fuel economy than any turbo model.

JDM was a twin turbo setup post 93, but you can get the USDM only EJ22T, an engine to envy! Find an old 22T and drop it in, you won't regret it, at all, ever. I put a closed deck 2L block in my engine when i rebuilt it, but i was so wishing i could have the 22 closed deck. damn you, damn you all!

No. You should buy an 05+ GT model if you're looking for a boosted Legacy wagon. IMHO.

That'd require a reloom anyway, so why not just go STi
