Default Do you need an engine hoist? Use mine.

Hello NESIC. I've got an engine hoist that I do NOT want to get rid of. But it's not like I use it all the time, and I'd like it to be used rather than sitting collecting dust and rust and not being used. It's old and seen better days, but it works great. The hydraulic ram loses zero pressure on it as far as my experience goes. It comes with a load leveler too.

I would need a $100 deposit. That will allow you to keep it for a week, and you will receive the full $100 back upon return of it. Anything beyond a week is $10 a day non-refundable.

I do also have an engine stand. Almost brand new. $50 deposit for that, and again, that'll get you 7 days with a full refund. $5/day beyond that. Not available right now

I don't know if there's any call for this, but I'm putting it out there. I am located near Storrs/UCONN, CT. You can pick up, or I can drop off for a fee.

Tim

Haha just yesterday I put the engine back in my Outback. I know if I lend it out that something will go wrong and I'll need to pull it again. that's how it works, right?

Sure thing; this is a standing offer for as long as I still have the hoist and I'm not using it. I'll try and keep this near the front page for at least a little while because it would be kind of pointless to let it sink into the archives.

Thinking about maybe changing the clutch on the Impreza soon. God knows it needs it. I'm not super motivated though, so let me know if you want to get in an engine pull while I'm being a lazy bastard!

Pay no attention to Caesar. Caesar doesn't have the slightest idea what's really going on.

Put my winter tires on...it's probably too early, but my all-seasons are so crappy.

I think I'm just going to bump this maybe a couple more times and then let it die for a bit. It's just about winter now, and I don't think many people want to be pulling their engines. You could prove me wrong if you like!

Au Contrair. Some people have a CRX that is crying for a B18 transplant. Winter is the perfect time.

Like you!? I'm guessing you have a hoist already though?

I don't really mind cold weather working, but I can't say that it's fun, unless you're actually doing strenuous activity to keep body heat up...engine work isn't really strenuous enough to ward off the cold.

If the car's light enough, just use the hoist.

Three years ago I had just gotten my license and didn't know half of a jack about cars.
