I think Russell may have potential in a decent car but it's really hard to tell with the Williams car and Kubica as his benchmark.

I recently discovered Nico Rosberg's YouTube channel and his Podcast.

He sits down with some F1 folks, I watched the Daniel Riccardo episode and I'm almost done with the Toto Wolf episode, and it's changed my opinion of him for me. Really interesting guy and really like the podcast.

2004 McLaren MP4-19B Race Car detail. It gets a bit into the weeds on the car detailing side of things, but still cool none the less.

I'm so glad his channel got as big as it did. I have absolutely zero knowledge or interest in detailing but I got hooked on his early videos showing him detail, his process and visits to custom shops for work. It's way over my head and desire to work but I find it fascinating. I saw him and his 911 at a Caffeine and Carburetors in CT one time. He's definitely living the dream but works hard so good for him.

He had a recent video that was the highest order of first world problems: My Mercedes AMG hypercar is delayed. What other hypercar should I get in the meantime.

I had a side business detailing for about 10 years until my twins were born and I had to give it up. Been watching Larry's video's for years. I thought I was OCD about detailing and cleaning cars until I watched him.

That was the first recommended video of his that came up on my YT feed but I didn't watch it.

Agree ^

Nico's channel is pretty cool, but he definitely comes out as a typical 1st World Problems meme....

Even worrying about the whole psychology things.... that screams 1st world problems. Cool discussion, but I'm pretty sure guys like Hamilton, Ricciardo, even Verstappen just... send it.

Ammo NYC videos are awesome. A bit too much, but can't blame him for being... excellent.

I suppose I wasn't looking to a retired F1 driver to yammer on about the issues of the Third World or regular people. He is in a different situation than most, and probably one many would like to find themselves. That said, and to Toto's point, he coulda sat on his ass like I suspect many of his peers do in Monaco.

However, if you want an understanding (maybe incomplete) of the issues going on at Williams, watch the video with Claire Williams.

Also, before being accused of being a "fanboi", I am not, although I did enjoy seeing him deny LH the title.

I'd hardly call Hamilton, Ricciardo and Verstappen 3rd world or regular people...

By the way... from watching the Claire Williams interview last week, was it just me or is she "too soft" for F1?
In my opinion....... I think she's not cut-throat enough and as a result, Williams is suffering.

Kind of similar to Stefano Domenicalli (with the difference that Domenicalli was good cop; but Ferrari had their Bad Cops in house as well to level things off). On the opposite hand, you have Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, those two are savage.

Claire is sending e-mails during the race complaining that somebody is wearing the wrong shirt. Perhaps she should focus on useful e-mails like "Will the car be ready for testing?" or " Does the car have suspension that is legal?".

Williams has what is supposed to be the best power unit (except the only other Merc powered team, the team formerly known as FI also sucks) and they are always DFL or NDFL. On power sensitive courses they have no excuse for not being ahead of toro roso, and one of the Renault powered cars.

Backmarkers have no margin for error. They just don't have the budget. Those days of missed testing and the loss of their pretesting photo days might have just killed Williams as an ongoing entity.

ooooooh hopefully not a Mercedes washout then.

Although, they may have a specific cooling package for the warmer tracks by now

If at least Merc, Ferrari and Honda are there in the mix, should be a fun race. I may watch this one.......

Hamilton in the rain is a beast, though. It'd just be Max in 2nd instead of Bottas.

Forecast is still showing a > 50% chance of rain from early Saturday morning all the way thought Sunday night.
