Default Rattling under hard acceleration 2-4k RPM only.

Just started... between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, there is a significant rattling sound coming from the engine bay under hard acceleration. Once I go over ~4,000 the rattling stops, even with continuous hard throttle. Does not happen in neutral or park. Doesn't happen if I floor it completely or accelerate conservatively. At a loss how to troubleshoot/diagnose.

It could be the air inlet duct. I replaced mine because of a rattle that only happened under similar conditions.

Its just the part that connects the outside air to the engines air filter/box assembly. I believe the part # is 46012FJ000. Its easy to remove with a flat head screw driver for the two plastic clips that attach it to the front of the car. I removed mine and drove around to confirm that this part was what was causing the noise.

I have a similar issue. I just recently got a 2018 sti and every time Iím in 1st or second gear and start accelerating WOT after about 3k RPMs I hear this really loud rattle sound. It sounds like itís somewhere under the car towards the back or center. Very hard to pinpoint it. I canít replicate the rattle in any other gear besides 1 and 2. Please help 😭 Its freaking me out
