Default RCM Omega Low X pistons

Anyone know anything about them. Looking at the rallispec ej257 block with them. With the discountinued cosworth pistons they have added them. There 4340 with a really small ptw clearance.

Go Rallispec! I canít speak for the pistons, I must have had one of the last batches of cosworth they had...but update on my Rallispec Standard Street Spec Shortblock, assembled fully by them including everything on my car: downpipe, injectors, AOS, 3 port BCS, agency power exhaust, etc, etc....

The engine now has 8,000 miles on it...it runs like a Fín champ! About half the miles were before flex fuel and after flex. I am constantly amazed at the car, it responds exactly how I want it to at any point and SCREAMS once you get into it at over 4,500RPMís haha. listening to it drop down from 6,000 RPMS down is such a joy. (Hardly ever hit 6K though, damn traffic/limits)

In the entire 8,000 miles here were ALLLL of my *problems*

1. A boost leak (it was ridiculously cold so often this winter, new build, fixed easily
2. Clamp on the radiator came loose, causing it to smoke...gorilla taped that **** up, drove it fine to get fixed easily
3. 5 months or so After installing intercooler and bunchhhh of other stuff/tune it had a very small leak somewhere near the intercooler I believe it was. They smoked tested it, problem fixed.

I am selective in recommending people/businesses (Iíve seen too many things go wrong in my life ) and Rallispec is up there at the top Iíve come across that gets my stamp of approval.

They are simple: you tell them your goals, ask your budget, and they recommend based on that. They always look down the line also to say ďafter we do this, you would then do X,Y,ZĒ if an upgrade isnít needed for a certain goal, they simply tell you ďdonít bother nowĒ honestly, they could have sold me on anything because I didnít know what I was doing but they are so great to work with, itís a journey.

Oh, Back to the pistons...if Dave/Vince (Jodie and Gen also, all them rock) at Rallispec bought them to put into their own customers built engines? you can trust they are good!

I'm on the fence to either go that build or just OEM shortblock. Stage 2 08 WRX with vf52. I want reliability over more power.
