Default 2012 Audi TTRS

I'll start off by saying for the almost $67k price there are a ton of other, better choices out. Personally I wouldn't spend the coin on one. I will say for a TT it does have a nice exhaust tone and finally grown a pair.

Specs;
2.5L FSI inline 5cyl turbo
360hp
343lb-ft of torque
Haldex awd
6 speed manual trans
18/25mpg

Didn't the DSG version of that car (which probably won't be sold in America) do 0-60 in like 3 seconds?

Sorry about that. Wrx300 is the one that usually makes these threads. It's the first time I used the camera on my new phone.

it's a nice car. i've always liked the tt (even the girly first generation), but ya VAG, not even once. no audis or vws for me.....they're nice to look at though and laugh at other people's problems with them after the internet told them not to buy one.

I liked the $2,700 exhaust package and the $1,900 folding mirrors.

But the package comes with kewl wheels and the mirrors are carbon OMFG!!!!!!11

Hatch looks like it's cargo capacity is competing with that of a Cayman...so does the price tag.

The trunk space does look pretty equal to that of a Porsche.

Too bad about that haldex AWD. You'd think for that insane MSRP, they'd have figured out how to put the quattro gear under there.

I will say though, the latest generation TT finally looks decent... the older ones look like someone stepped on a new beetle and called it an Audi. Also, a turbo 5 is kinda neat.

I'd consider one of these if they were under $40k. Maybe I'll wait 2 years and get a used one for $35k. Then own it for just 1 year because there's no way I'd own an Audi out of warranty.

Sexy rotors and brakes, that's about it. Otherwise meh, overpriced Audi is overpriced. Every Audi I've driven has always seemed to be pretty well put together.

That's what I'm trying to figure out... if the $67k price tag doesn't include a one-off drivetrain layout to go with the one-off turbo 5, why does the car cost so damn much?

They should have made a 2-seater, short wheel-base S5 and called it the TTRS.
