Weird. You edited it two minutes ago which happened to be AFTER I called you out. I wonder why that was?!

Hi, I have a 2017 Impreza Touring (16" silver alloy wheels).

I'm buying a set of used 2002 Impreza WRX alloy rims for my winter tires.

From what I understand the 2002 WRX has these wheel specs:
  • 2002-04 WRX
  • Size: 16x6.5"
  • Offset: +53
  • Bolt pattern: 5x100
  • Wheel Weight: 16.5 lbs
  • OEM-equipped tire size: 205/55R16

I think the only difference with my 2017 OEM rims is the offset which is +55.

Does anyone know if these 2002 WRX rims will fit my 2017 Impreza? Will I be able to use my current lugs?

Thanks in advance for any help. This is my first Subaru and I have very little knowledge on tires and rims.

For the record, those aren't the wheels I'm asking about.

They may be different since I have the performance package. Here's a picture.

And for the record I was on here in 07 under another username when I had my 05 CGM WRX. Can't remember what email it was under. Haha. Hence the noob account, you noob.

I'd like to know too, looking for specs on the 18" wheels that come on the 2018 WRX Premium and Limited.

18x8.5 with 55 offset and weigh about 36.5 pounds according to a local Subaru sales guy. They don't feel like they weigh that much though.

Wow you have got to be kidding me with 36.5. They look great but can anyone else confirm this weight?

There's no way these wheels weigh 36.5 lbs.....or anywhere near it. Most of the base wheels weigh around 25-26 lbs. I bet these are no different.

I must be missing something here. The wheel below looks nothing like the wheel on the 2018 WRX Premium and Limited shown above.

elpincherichie - thanks for the new specs! Much appreciated! Not a bad weight.

cu888 - hopefully you got a quicker response elseware, but yes I believe those wheels will fit. As long as the bolt pattern is the exact same, and other specs are close, usually you are good. Also going from +55 to +53, I believe you are moving 2 millimeters away from the brake calipers so no issues there, also moving 2 millimeters is inconsequential with concerns on bearing wear and tear.

No worries just shipped them out and got the actual weight. For 18s stock wrx I think they're great wheels

Subaru Stars 2008+ STI BBS wheel details

Does anyone have any in depth info on the 2008+ STI BBS wheel? I know they are forged, but does anyone know if they are monoblock or what type of alloy they are made of? What their weight load rating is? I am wanting to find our just how high the quality of that wheel is. For example, are they as nice of a wheel as the BBS FI? Or BBS RE? This is very obscure info I know.

Thanks for help everyone

It's an aluminum wheel.

They are pretty nice. Just weighed mine and they were a hair lower but your scale might be right. I got 24.2 lbs.

They're made by Enkei as well. I was kind of surprised that the inside of the rim is unpainted.

Yes, I know it is forged aluminum, virtually all forged wheels are I think (with the exception of Magnesium wheels, which are in a different stratosphere of price). I was looking for more details such the type of aluminum, type of forging, ect.

C'mon, man. You JUST posted this. Do you not look at your post? Are you not aware that Photobucket is in its death throes? Please rehost your picture anywhere else.

Please take this question elsewhere. Keep this thread limited to basic wheel specs (size/weight/offset).
