Default Replacing 1 Wheel vs 2 Wheels (staggered setup)

I was visiting my parents out of town and I came across a listing for a wrecked STI partout. Was in the market for used wheels so I went saw them and picked them up. I got a very good deal on some beat up Enkei NT03RR

They were 3 wheels(4th was destroyed) and being a Subaru i thought it would be square but nope. (only checked 2 wheels)

(1) 18x9+40 , (2) 18x9.5+40
(3) Dunlop Sport Maxx 245/40/18

How can I make this work so I only buy 1 wheel instead of 2.

buy another 18x9 and put the skinny ones on the front. most critical thing is tire diameter is the same on all 4.

At least now places offer to shave tires when purchasing a new tire to match the same overall diameter. Back in 2012, that wasn't the case... Either that or the tire places just wanted to sell me 4 new tires while withholding information about shaving a new tire down to 8/32 to match the rest due to trashing one in a pothole.
