Default Having a hard time find body kits for a 95-01 Impreza.(Need help please)

Does anyone know of some links that have some good looking ones? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks! Also I'm looking to do my interior in orange. Does anyone know where by chance I might find a shop that can do carpets/seats etc.? Thanks again.

all depends on what kind of body kit you want to get. Afsmotorsports.com has some .... japanparts.com .... check vendors too. But it really depends on what kit you want and how much you want to spend.

As for carpets .. there was a group buy a while back for ACC molded carpet i think, but it didnt fit terribly well so i dont know where else to get it

Buy a kit from AFS Motorsports or Importfan.com, and while you're at it shoot yourself for wanting to dye your interior orange.

Just buy a lips, spats, paint your skirts and choose a spoiler. That looks the most clean... most kits for gc's look rice. The cwest is OK but just make sure its not a replica. Also why would you want to put fiberglass on your car?

don't buy no cheap replicas man, go genuine all the way.

the $ you save on going for a replica is gonna pop back up once you keep cracking that front/rear bumper, or having to have it molded properly.

just my 2 cents.

Ok exactly how muhc am I looking to spend for a full kit or what not spoiler lip and some fenders? I am savign up now I have about 1k in the bank and getting a job very soon. Buyign the car when I turn 15 and workign on it and driving it alopne at 16 so It will be ocmpletely ready by the itme I drive it. I don't like have painted cars out on the streets. It just doesn't look right IMO. I will do that and get minor parts for christmas and birthdays. And it's nice of you guys to put names of kits and stuff but I just switched over ot researching all my time into a Del Sol so I'm fairly new to Subarus and the genuine stuff for theres. Mush help would be appreciated. Also is CF much more than other stuff? If not for a daily street car would it be worth getting for the look? Well just got back form seeing LotR TRotK and my butts sore so I have to stand up for a bit.
Thanks,
Derek

EDIT: Also I'm looking for a rough price on how much it would cost me to fix up a 95-01 imprea w/o base cost. What I'm looking for are basic audio upgrades like cd player a bit upgraded speakers etc., roll cage, new paint job(maybe), new exhaust, some bolt on stuff for a bit more hp handling etc., and exterior stuff all around rims, body kit(not low end), spoiler, headlights, snow tires, and some new fenders. Some interior stuff like racing seats, 5 points safety belts, new pedals, shift boot and knob, And some painting. Is this realistic to do under 10k including the car or am I thinking to much for the price? I would be installing everyhitng myself of course(hopefully even the roll cage).

I know this owuld be a hard question to answer but any help will be appreciated thanks again.

You mean you wanna get the car and do ALL that with 10K?? Good luck, i could be wrong, but i dont think that is realistic. A genuine kit, of any kind, is around 1000 bucks. A good coilover suspension, USED, is around 1000. A good spring/strut/mount combo is about 700. Sway bars, strut towers are around 100 bucks each. Exhausts, new, cost around 600 for a cat back. Intakes are fairly cheap. A brand new paint job itself, if youre going to change the color and get it professionally done, costs nearly 6 grand itself. Spoilers costs at least 200 bucks. Rims can vary, but the cheapest set that are still decent are Rota's and they cost about 600 bucks, and then to add tires of any decent type are bout 100 bucks each, plus the mounting and balancing fee. As for racing seats, they can range from 700 bucks to 2000 (for anything decent). And the other stuff really varies on how much you want to spend and what you wanna get out of it, like the speakers and CD players.

Good Luck

Andy

I agree with ANashty for the most part, to accomplish all that including the price of the car itself, is almost impossible with the budget you're working with, unless of course you have access to all those parts for dirt cheap, and i mean, lower than the wholesale list cost.

Front/Rear Strut Brace - 320 *cusco
Rear Sway Bar - 140 *Cusco
Shocks - 5-700
Springs -190 - 250
Roll cage - ????
Rims - Rotas 650
Tires - 80-183 per tire.
Intake - 120-240
Headers - 300-900
Hi-flo Cat - 3-400
Exhaust - 120 - 600
Body Kit - 1000-2000 *plus paint
Fenders - check do-luck usa
Headlights - ??? as far as I know they only make these projector lamps
Seats - 200 - 1100 per seat

As far as receiving gifts for bdays and presents and etc, i would assume the little bits would be given. Shift knob, pedals, shift boot, short shifter

A decent sound system can be had for about 1000

The interior would be anywhere from 700-2000 depending on what exactly you want.

For interior, audio, and body work, I can hook you up with people.

The parts I'd suggest going to Z1 Auto (my personal favorite), or finding whatever you can at gruppe-s (they offer free shipping)

I'll say it again, I don't believe you can have the car (in decent condition) and all these parts for 10k. I'd say parts alone, decent brands and quality, woud cost you...well you do the math.

Heh ok thanks for the info. I'm not speaking of full cat back just a muffler maybe... not sure yet. I may just keep the paint stock price wise. Hooking me up with people would mean finding decent priced stuff? Also would I have to use sponsor vinyls? Not too interested in that. My dad has some friends that said they could get me anything I wanted pretty much for my car at I'm guessing less than wholesale value. well I still have a year b4 I even get the car so it will be a while. Thanks for the input. Also one more question. How rare are 2door imprezas ranging from year 95-01? And are they more than 4 doors? Thanks

Stop.

Put all your plans on hold.

Lurk here, learn about subarus and the subaru world and then when you are old enough to buy and drive a car, buy the best quality car you can afford. Modify it later when you have the means, and the understanding. You are thinking way to far ahead, and especially from this thread its easy to tell you dont have much experience in the car world.

liigod, thanks man, I didn't wanna have to put him on the spot, glad you did.

but yea, learn what you can on the board, to find out what applications are best suitable for you.

2 door impreza's aren't rare, but are you looking for an L or an RS?

There is no real diffucult part to that question its just a lack of your searching and using the resource that are available here. Spend some time researching the basic car before trying to rice it out

Depends on what you wanna do.

If you wanna stay NA get a RS
If you wanna do an ej20 swap then get an L. No point in spending the money on a RS if your ging to yank the motor.

I picked up my 1993 L wagon for 750$. A high miled RS will cost you 8 to 10k

i third this or fourth , whatever.....
first off you are 15, you need to be more concerned with your driving experience than how to mod your car
second, you need to at least learn the basic impreza model line, memorize the differences, it will help you later, try here to get you started
third, If you really want an impreza I would suggest something in the 97-98 range, 15 year old kids shouldent own cars with more than 140 HP

just my 2/100 of a dollar

now i don't totally agree with that, that's a little below the belt.

yeah there are a lot of young kids who can't drive, but there are also a few that can, let's not underestimate someone judged on their taste and knowledge of the automotive performance world.

Cole Trickell didn't know **** about cars and he still was one hell of a racer...lol sorry had to add that.

All I'm saying is that he can't possibly have enough driving experience at 15 to handle something more powerful (something like a RS for instance) It has nothing to do with his knowledge of the automotive performance world. I'm not trying to insult or demean him, if I were him I would pick up an old impreza L and deck it out, just be careful.

btw did you own a 165HP car at 15? I know I didn't, I didn't even have one.

My first car was a 1985 Ford Escort Wagon = probably 100hp
Second car was a 1986 Saab 900 turbo = 160hp
Third car was a 1993 Ford Probe GT = 170hp
Then came the 1998 Impreza Rs (brand new off the showroom floor)= 165hp (before mods of course)

I feel younger adults need to learn how to drive with a more basic car before the go all out with something they may not be able to handle. If I would have gotten the mustang I wanted when I was 16yrs old, I might not be here today (thanks DAD!).

Even now (at 25yrs old) since I never owned a rear-wheel drive car, I could really hurt myself or others if I went nuts with one.

Its all about experence!!!

To be 16 again, what you are looking for is close to impossible in relations to your price. I've spent too much time poking and proding forums, sites and such to know how much all of what you want will cost unless you have massive hookups. Like many have said learn how to drive before you mod the car. If you can't drive it properly stock what makes you think you're ready to take it out after heavy mods? You're just thinking way ahead of yourself right now, but thats good you have a good drive towards what you want to do. Take some time and learn about your car like I mean lots of time! You'd be surprised to find out what your car can and cannot do before you get yourself into some deep trouble trying first.

Take it from a 20 yr old whos had to learn it the hard way, do yourself a favour worry about mods after you've got some experience under your belt.

I owned a 220hp/200ft-lb tq car at 15... It was called a Taurus SHO...That thing was a beast

And I whatever what everyone else has said. Take time read forums, etc. Heck, at 15 I was reading all the honda forums trying to get as much info as I could about the Integra Type R, because that's what I wanted. Never got it, but boy do I know a load about Hondas, Subarus, and Nissans now.
