Question HELP!!!...Which one would you choose???

???For a MY99 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT???

?#1. Which cat back stainless steel exhaust system would you pick and why???
*****NOTE: (When picking the exhaust-keep in mind performance is just as important as sound, so indicated which one has both. Otherwise pick one that performs the best!!!)*****

1. Stromung (3" tip)
2. Magnaflow (4" tip)
3. N1 (4" tip)
5. Apexi (?" tip) ...I think 5"
6. Borla (?" tip) ...I think 4"

?#2. Would you choose 2.25" or 2.5", if you want to keep the car N/A (natural aspirated)???

?#3. How many O2 sensors are there for my car and where/what brand O2 sensor should I get???

I will be purchasing Borla headers, camshafts, intake and hopefully one of the cat-back exhaust system listed above next month...Your replies will be much appreciated!!!

Thanks,

CRAZY KEN

I have the Borla headers and catback. It is a nice setup, sure, but for $800 I'm sure a custom setup would be cheaper and arguably better, seeing as how you don't have to worry about getting things mandrel bent...

Anyway, I'm very happy with my Borla setup. I can't speak on the rest of them, but the sound is nice and the performance is solid.

I have an N1 catback on my 01 RS and my girlfriend's 98 Forester(tight fit...) We both love it. Sounds good, more power with no noticable low-end loss. Some people find the big round tip to be ricey, but I like it. Also, it sounds *much* better on a manual tranny, where you have more control over the RPMs.

I would pick none of them and go with the STI v4-v6 exhaust if you're looking for a quiet exhaust like me because I'm out of my loud phase and this exhaust is one of the quietest/good flowing/great fitting exhaust out there for the Subaru.(after all, it can support up to 280ps on the STI models).

2.25" for lightly modded N/A
2.5" for bigger turbo(t3+ equivalent)

Just my $.02 on a quiet exhaust.

I love the 5Zigen Fireball cat-back. Its sound is so rumbly there's nothing high-pitched about it. The piping is just the right size for high rpm racing...is there any other type of racing? It uses the compact Fireball can with about 2.4" piping not the 2.25" that they claim. I dropped two tenths of a second in the quarter because of it. The install is a piece of cake. The whole thing is stainless and the piping has a black coating on it. The can sits angled toward the outside and is higher than the piping. It does leave a bit of brownish exhaust on your bumper, but with my BRP, you can't notice a thing, plus there's a silencer that comes with it.
