Odd headlight problem
I recently noticed my driver side low beam was looking dim on my ‘04 Impy. I replaced both bulbs with a pair of fancy NAPA bulbs, and now the passenger side is VERY dim. The high beam also glows on the passenger side, and the high beam indicator lights up on low beam. When I switch to high beams, the indicator goes out, the drivers HB lights up, and the passenger lights go out completely. I put the old bulb back in, same symptoms. I have my DRL module unplugged, and have cheesy eBay projector housings. I didn’t install them, they came on the car, so I can’t verify the integrity of the wiring. Any ideas?

Sounds most likely a crappy ground on the dim side. Whether it's the plug or the chassis ground, who knows from this side of the Internet.
Most bulbs, they either work or they don't. A bad ground will limit current flow such that the light output is low, thus dim. |

Sounds like a blown headlight fuse on the passenger side. It will light up dim due to backfeeding through the opposite side filament.

KISS principle prevails again. It was indeed the fuse.
