Anybody used the TSSFab Front Subframe with the provisions for the 15+ STI rack? How did everything fit?

Default Hey

I only bought the rear subframe and ill post up some pics. Some other people bought trailing arms and lateral links and alot of teams bought bulk. Im hoping some of the guys that ordered post some pics of what they use just so we can get a picture of what we are working with.

You can contact him and he will actually text you with questions about your purchase. Even if he is at rally events or if its Thanksgiving lol.

Would love to see a write up or tutorial on the rear subframe and T bar install.
I know he’s backed up right now but I’ll post my install once I get mine.

Default Good deal!

Awesome. Let us know if your running a fuel cell or what you have to modify to make it fit with the stock tank.

That’s what I’m most interested in. TSS told me it’s just “a little hammerin”. Hopefully it’s minor.

So I ordered at last year's Black Friday sale. Everything minus the front subframe. And they've been collecting dust under my bed because father time never loses.

I didn't like the fact that there were no instructions provided. And some hardware was missing. No biggie, I just reached out and we cleared up what was missing from what part. But again, if there were instructions, I would guess they would list what hardware goes where to avoid this confusion. I'm sure I wasn't the only one hitting him up.

Lastly, the T-bar/Trailing Arm Brackets had bolt holes that were too small for the matching bolts. When I confirmed about whether the hardware was correct for these brackets, he said yes and so I told him how the holes were too small as the bolts didn't go through. He told me to just drill them out...while I have no problem doing that, it would only make sense that these brackets were made with holes that were bigger where the end user didn't have to drill them out.

Default Tip

This is my thread so I guess here's a random tip? Using a company 23 valve spring tool if ur cam cap bolts jump out on ya and you have 2 alternator adjustment bolts you can use em in a pinch.

I highly recommend you put a good coat of antiseize on the threads of that turnbuckle in the lateral links. Also do the same for the long bolt that connects the outer points of the lateral links to the knuckle, the entire length of it.

Good eye. This pic shows the sti lateral links. I got a set of voodoo13 adjustable links for rear set to be able to adjust toe.

nice. I really like their setup.

They are the only ones in the market that have considered potential poly binding issues in the rear outer position. Their inner crush tube halves are "T" shaped so that only the crush tubes are tightened and not the face of the bushings.

I do wish they supplied boots for the 3 other heim joint locations but it is what it is. And I have thoughts about why they have a poly section in only the rear outer position but that's for a different topic and don't want to digress the thread.

I finally installed my 2019 black Friday trans brace purchase and will be installing the 2020 black Friday front subframe purchase in the upcoming weeks. P.S. I still have to get in two bolts on one of the mounting tabs to complete the trans brace. It's off by a few millimeters and I have to go back to loosen the bolts and flex the brace over a bit to get the remaining bokts installed.
