Saabaru got it's plates today. Be over on Tuesday to test drive with new to it JDM205 motor! Happy, happy, joy, joy! Took 4 months longer than planned to get to this point.

Wish me luck.

Much has happened,

Photobucket Nazi's have wiped out all of my photo links. It was fun while it lasted.

I ABSOLUTELY HAD A GREAT TIME AT GRIDLIFE MIDWEST AT GINGERMAN RACEWAY LAST MONTH.

I tore into the Saabaru to delete the TGV plates - got the plates removed only to discover I damaged the AVCS sensor (read broke) connector and now need a JDM 207 AVCS sensor, who you gone call? So scrambling to get a replacement so I can reinstall the intake Tuesday.

Got the LS3 motor for my cousins 1982 Corvette so need to get cracking on getting it fitted and installed. Doubling his horsepower.

Might be moving - so need to declutter and get this place ready to sell.

Want a Motorhome badly so I can go to events and take the wife, it would be so much cheaper than having to hire someone to sit with her.

Want to go to Gridlife South.

Want to convert Lucille to Flexfuel.

Want new wheels

Want to lose weight

Need a mistress

Need a new photo host but may give up and just post to my secret FB group on the car entertaining only a select few and myself.

Let me share my Swaintech experience.
Last year I purchased a Holy Header directly from Killer B uncoated as my plan was to wrap it for my use. I had been in contact with Chris from Killer B and he strongly suggested coating versus wrapping, so I reluctantly gave in and sent my header to Swaintech. Well upon return of the header/uppipe I opened the box unwrapped the parts only to observe gouges/scratches from some type of hand tool on the uppipe to turbo mounting flange. When I laid a straightedge across the surface you could see it was not flat. Darn it, are you kidding me? I did not contact Swaintech at that time.

Fast forward to December and I'm at PRI in Indy, oh I forgot to send that letter to Swaintech, so while I'm here I'll stop by their booth and give them verbal feedback. Well that was a mistake - short story - the rep at the booth tried to say they don't grind, sand or attempt to clean the uncoated surface after coating they use tape to cover the surface not to be coated. He really insulted my intelligence by trying to shift blame to the shipper (UPS) in this case. Trust me when I say that Swaintech damaged my part. Fortunately I was able to remedy the situation after hours on a hone plate, but to not recognize or admit to what occurs in your plant (Swaintech) when a customer brings it to your attention is unacceptable.

I had heard negative comments from others about Swaintech, they may have a good coating product, but their customer service is lacking. I will say that when I PMed Chris at Killer B he did offer to remachine the uppipe for me and I really appreciate that offer. I type all this to say if you intend to have your part(s) coated by Swaintech approach with caution and know that if you part is damaged in their process they will most likely deny that it happened in their plant. Pictures will be posted when I upload them to the pic hosting site. As I took images before I boxed up the parts, added pictured instructions indicating the surfaces I did not want coated or touched and they still marred them.

So this is what the mounting flange looked like when returned from Swaintech.

And their PRI rep insulted my intelligence and tried to say this was done by the shipper UPS. GTFOH

Sorry for such a late reply. The bumper you see in the images is the original bumper. I have yet to change to the 2005 rear bumper that has been sitting painted for way too long, lol.

On another note after many years of wanted a forged piston engine the time is near.

Thanks and yes that track experience was pretty funny. I still laugh about it. That track has been repaved, I cannot wait to get back out on it although the car will have more power.

Damn list of parts to build up from the shortblock is getting long. SMH. Who came up with this idea. Maybe if I decided to strip the original engine it would be different.

Clean the AVCS cam gear myself or send them to OutFront for proper cleaning and reassembly?

Damn I cannot stand flaky sellers. They annoy the $&*@ out of me, SMH. On another note, the new engine build is slightly delayed. Will not make it into car for Gridlife Midwest.
