I dont think you understand the whole idea of what the 2.34 is supposed to be. its a rev monster. So a small turbo would be not work very well on that engine

I want to put a 7163 onto the next 2.34 I do. Not going for kill mode but fun without the torque spike you get on a 2.5.

I've got a 2.1 running ELH, 256 cams, ported heads (non avcs) and a big16g on 18.5psi tapering to 17.5psi. Only a baby turbo as I still run a 5 speed. Makes 290whp/300ftlbs.
Being a GC8 is still plenty fast, would probably do a 105-106mph with a good launch. Need to get a GTX30xx and a 6 speed for a street weapon. |

I figured on maybe 4800-5000 with the current plan. I'm also trying to figure out what people are revving to with the extra stroke, hopefully I can still achieve 8,500 safely. Maybe a saving grace is that in expecting it to be around 9.5:1 so might help pack a little extra punch down low. Last edited by 2004-STi; 10-05-2019 at 09:06 AM. |

Should be fine taking 2.1 to 8500 assuming the oil pressure holds well
I'd look into trading/selling GTX3584r for a GTX3576r. The 84 will be a dog compared to the 76 and doubt the extra power will make up for it. What do you use the car for and what's your power goal? |

I was hoping that on E85 and over 35psi (I say that loosely, hopefully i can test my luck and go higher even with the 9.5:1 comp) i could try for as close to 1,000 or so. Really just street and track double duty, I have a RSTi that I'm building for the daily duty. Last edited by 2004-STi; 10-05-2019 at 09:45 AM. |

My 04 sti didn't get it until 4300 on a 3582r (30psi) I say you only get lag once when you're going for it |

i guess.. my car is a 2.1 with v9 heads and tomei cams with a 3067 spoolinator kit. its fun and my power band is from 4000 to 8000. I wasnt looking for a huge peak boost, but I have about 400 and im pretty happy with that. the first tuen I got was on the usdm ecu and that sucked.. no power below 4100, but it was night and day when I got my avcs working. how the power is more linear and it feels like it starts to pull at 3700 all the way to red line. great for the street but yeah to each their own.

I hope with the Darton sleeves, my limiting factor would be fueling and not the block itself. |
