Default Come on Folks! Register for the Challenge!

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1352759

go here and register.

We need to get this thing going. Anything less than 100 participants is a failure in my book! TXIC is better than this!

Let's show the other regions what's up.

Don't be afraid if you haven't autocrossed, this is a fun event, and a great way to learn a bit about driving. I'll admit that before I autocrossed that I thought I was a pretty good driver, but just a few laps will give you all kinds of knowledge on driving. We'll have some of the best drivers in the region to give you pointers and ride along.

Don't moan about it not being in <insert my town name here>, it's in Houston, make the drive down and have a blast!

I don't care how many threads you start....I'm still not registering!

I might come down to Houston if there's festivities, though.

Please.

I could make you start screaming for mommy on one autocross run.

I believe that. It's not that I don't like auto-x, it's just not what i've prepped my car for. 500ish WHP and full spool at 4500-5000 rpm doesn't really transfer well into the lower-speed turns. It might do okay on a high speed road course, but not great for the cones.

On top of that, I wouldn't sign up this early anyways....there's a good chance I will blow my motor this weekend at the Mile. Hopefully not, but I won't be too sad if I do.

The only peoples cars who are setup for autocross are A-mod cars, everybody else's is a compromise The difference between a well prepared car and a similar poorly prepared car is 2-3 sec. The difference between a great driver and a first timer is 15 sec (but the first timer will likely have more fun).

Is anyone from your area going?... see if you can snag a co-drive with them?
