Default Going down to Bellingham/Seattle... Cool Car Shops?

I'm taking a drive down to Bellingham and Seattle from BC in a couple weeks, are there any cool tuner shops I should check out?

Friend is looking for some Mitsu stuff too for his Lancer...

Not up here there aren't.

There's a VW shop but I think it's owned by a couple of 20-somethings and I'm not sure what's going on there, and there's bumper to bumper, with the rack full of gold and chrome 22-ish inch wire wheels

but other than that you've gotta go south.

Damn! Although I know all about what that's like coming from a small city. Hopefully some Seattle-lites will chime in here

I haven't been there myself. World One Performance (www.worldoneperformance.com). They are super helpful on the phone.

Achtuning might have some stuff if you are talking about parts for the EVO. www.achtuning.com

Seems like a lot of the shops have closed in the past year or so around here.

Dammit... are there any "universal" tuner shops?

World One just emailed me back and told me they're mostly a warehouse Internet based business

Maltby Motorsports is universal. Maltby's specialized knowledge is with Vipers.

Brad's Custom Auto is universal for domestic performance, specializing in Corvettes, F-bodies, and Mustangs.

Fordahl Motorsports is universal as well, specializing in race preparation and Porsches.

Achtuning is mostly Audi, VW, some Subaru, and some Mitsu.

These are based on what I know about these shops. For more details, I would suggest contacting the shops. There are many other shops around, I only mentioned these because I had good experience with them.

Drift office in Auburn WA does a lot of Evo work. Anyone around here that I talk to that owns an Evo swears that placeis good.

Does anyone know of a reputable WRX/STI shop here in Washington?
I just picked up a 2017 WRX and I'm looking to have some work done.

If its early 2000s, I'd suggest Garage SPL (speed performance lab) at the corner of Lake City Way and 80th in North Seattle.

Thanks for the info.. I just moved to Bellingham myself and was wondering the same, as the sticky about shops here seem as old as the OP's post... an update if definitely in store.

There's Northwest Rally Sports in Bellingham. https://www.nwrallysports.com/

Talked with them a couple times and took my car up there to diagnose an underboost issue. They couldn't find the problem but they were pretty cool/professional.
