Default 1999/2000/2001 RS Wiring Swap to WRX or STI (Help me add notes!)

For all those people looking to do a USDM WRX or STI swap this is your thread! I'm putting a list of swapped wires together to make the conversion really easy for people looking to do this themselves. If I have forgotten anything or if you would like to add anything don't be shy. These are guides I made for myself so I can follow them just fine but I don't know if anyone else thinks like me. Anyway here you are This is a start and cars that I have done so these should be correct. I would eventually like to add wire colors but I haven't got around to it.

Just click on the links below and you will get to the wiring guide you are look for. Or scroll down to view them all. Let me know what I can do to make this more useful. I have lots of pictures of wiring merges but they are a little overwhelming when you first see them.

USEFUL STUFF TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING:

Immobilizer:

Drive by wire pedal plug for a 2005 STI:

Drive by wire pedal plug for a 2007 STI and Immobilizer Wiring. The Immobilizer wiring is the same but the 2007 Pedal was changed:

In this picture you can clearly see where the Immobilizer and Antenna and Key are located on the STI column:
Note: For all Immobilizer cars the Key, Immobilizer Unit, and ECU need to match in order for the car to start.

I've been comparing 07 WRX to 07 STI and have only found one difference so far, and it was only off by one pin number.

You should go through the wiring on your own to double check.

I know the main harness's have to merged along with the fuel pump, but i wasnt sure about accessories. Do the subaru harness's throughout the years use the same window, lock and light plugs and adapters?

No they do not! You need to not touch those. just merge the engine stuff and dont worry about the accessories like AC/Windows/Locks/fuse box/lights/etc... This will just end up causing something to not work when you are done.

Are you sure this fuel pump controller wiring is correct? Im having a hard time trying to get my wrx fuel pump controller to work with my 02 wrx ecu. Actually i have a 04 jdm sti ecu (it uses the wrx 5 clip style). I have the pdf at home, it shows something totally different. See below.

1.B+ 12v
2.DI To ecu
3.ECU To ecu
4.FP+ 12v to fuel pump
5.FP- Ground to fuel pump
6.E. Ground

The weird thing is, when i follow the diagram from the 02 wrx. The pump seems to be running backwards (sucking fuel instead of pumping it). It i reverse the power and ground, car starts right up. My car runs fine, only issue i have is when i turn the key to the ON position, the pump runs 100% of the itme, it doesnt prime then shutoff like it should. My car is a 99 rs

The wiring for the fuel pump controller changed a couple times over the years. Your best bet is to look at the controller itself and the markings on it. It should be marked with what each pin does. Verify that each wire is going to the correct circuit and that should resolve your issue. The Black wire always goes to ground and the Black/Yellow to the FP relay. The other two I have seen them in either location so your best bet is to look at the FPC and confirm which wire goes to which on the FP.
