Default COBB short-throw shifter and STi WRC knob

Note: I've not installed the linkage bushings yet, only the shifter.

There's not a lot to say here, but I figure what the hell.

It's a short-throw shifter. It came with good installation instructions. It was $130 from COBB Tuning at http://www.cobbtuning.com/ (with linkage bushings included by default). It installed easily by following the included instructions and also Peaty's KartBoy instructions at http://www.scoobymods.com/

One note on the installation: It is NOT necessary whatsoever to remove the two philips-head screws on the inside bottom of the console holding/storage area as the COBB instructions said. In fact, I personally believe this makes popping the tabs (the next step on the COBB instructions) harder.

It works.

I'll point out though that it seems to be the longest of the short-throw shifters. More importantly, I'll point out that I did NOT have any of the rubbing problems for 1st gear that people seem to experience with other shifters.

The STi WRC shift knob installs completely drop-in. Screw it on, pull the boot up onto its nylon flange/ring and you're done. Fits the stock and COBB short-shifter threads perfectly.
