Default WTT: 4.11 vlsd w 50k miles for 3.9 vlsd with 50k miles or less

I have a 4.11 rear diff I got from a member on rs25 and it has about 50k miles on it. Its from an 04 auto wrx. I'd planned on getting a 4.11 transmission and swapping my rear diff but I found a good price on a 3.9 transmission and kept my 3.9 open rear. Now it seems my rear diff is going out, although no one at my job has a clue and can't pinpoint the noise coming from my drivetrain. I can't swap the 4.11 diff in so I'd like trade if for a 3.9 lsd and at least be able to install it and cross the rear diff off as the cause of my noise issue. Thanks for looking

It would fit if your original rear diff is a 4.11. I'm trying to find a 3.9 vlsd to swap for though because the one in my car is about to die. I will put the 4.11 vlsd up for sale if I can't find someone to swap with relatively soon. Do you have a 3.9 vlsd or is your diff bad like mine?

You could just swap the lsd from the 4.11 into into the open 3.9.

I would but my 3.9 may be dying so I'm going to sell the 4.11 for a backup diff plan. I've got a bad noise coming from the driveline and it seems to be from the rear diff or rear section of the transmission, its difficult to tell even when on the lift. I'll get another lsd rear when I get my noise issue figured out.
