I can talk to him you want and see if he knows of someone that could give us the tour unofficially? It seems like you will have a pretty good group of people going so they may do it. I will see what i can do. There's not much to see if they won't give a tour and the gift shop isn't open. Pretty much a standard drive-up beer store attached to a brewery.
Yeah, I know a tour is probably out but if they'll do a special one for us then MAYBE people will be more inclined to make the trip. I just thought that it's a place to stop and have a beer(for those that imbibe). Also, it should be about lunch time when we get there and there are some food options there.

I've looked in to a couple different stop ideas like Cook Forest State Park, Sprague Farm and Blue Canoe. It'd be tough to hit any of those AND elk country without making it a REALLY long trip. I sort of want to stay east of St. Mary's. If you go west of St. Mary's you start to get into more populated areas (less trees, more traffic). East of St. Mary's is Elk State Forest and it's a WHOLE LOTTA trees and freakin' elk with 5 foot long antlers attached to their FREAKIN' HEADS!

Also, for anyone that's expressed interest in going, I'm not telling anyone where to go. I'm trying to find some at least halfway interesting things to do (other than the driving part) so people want to come. My idea of interesting is different than a lot of peoples'. For example, I wanted to stop in Smicksburg PA because aside from being Amish country there are remnants of a town they MOVED because they were going to build a dam and flood the valley. There are streets and house foundations and stuff. ANYWAY... If we get up to St. Mary's and after lunch you want to go up to Kinzua Bridge and a couple people want to go west to Blue Canoe or whatever that's completely okay.

Does anyone in the Greensburg/Monroeville/east Pittsburgh area have jack stands or ramps I could use for a day? Next week I should be getting my CNT catless down pipe and tactrix cable in the mail and I could really use some help installing the dp and flashing the TP stage 2 map. I'd gladly pay you in beer and/or Primanti's, whichever tickles your fancy.

I'm out of town/busy for the next couple weeks, that being said, if you haven't found a solution for this by the 14th, let me know and I can help you out with supplies and a spare hand.

Where south are you? If you don't want to post it publicly you can PM me. I'd love to do it Friday or Saturday, provided my parts come in the mail by then.

Also, I have an appointment to get my windows tinted and I can't decide if I should get 35% or 20%. My guy only has those two shades available, plus 5% but that's way too dark. FWIW, I have Illinois license plates so I'm not terribly worried about getting ticketed since I doubt PA police officers know the laws in Illinois. I'm just worried if I get 20% it'll be difficult to see at night, especially backing up. Anyone with 20% wish they had gone lighter? Or, conversely, anyone with 35% wish they had gone darker?

I've got 20% you can see fine at night, I was worried about not being able to see out the back window but its not so bad and 20% looks a lot better than 35

Gret let me know

Also. Get 35% I know many officers in pa. They won't touch you at 35 since they can see you behind it. Anything below that. You are target around here. Especially with a loud exhaust too.

35% looks amazing. With the black interior it looks darker then it is. Just do it and be safer and less of a cop magnet

Just an FYI, officers in PA will give you a ticket for the tint no matter what plates you have.

Yup, if you travel 376 with any relative frequency, don't tiny anything.

I do travel 376 fairly frequently but I have literally never seen a police officer ever on that highway. You think if I get tint I'd get pulled over? Eh, screw it, I'll go with 35% and if I get pulled over I'll deal with it.

Yeah, my Friend got nailed 5 times on his way to work for tint before he finally pulled it all off. Even got a ticket for modified lights, even though they were stock. They have gone way out of their way to nail him during rush hour traffic even. I avoid 376 due to that reason and the traffic.

Wow, that's rough. I take 22 to 376 to Squirrel Hill at least twice a week to see my girlfriend and I honestly cannot remember the last time I have even seen a cop on either road. With that being said, I don't want to push my luck so I think I'll stick with 35% since it's legal in Illinois and I can at least justify that to my conscience. And hopefully a police officer if the situation ever calls for it.

I would really like to see where you got that information from, I have had the exact opposite statement told to me be magistrates from both PA and NY. They are the ones you have to convince and they feel otherwise.
