So more or less..Don't buy it..and if you do, get the 6speed..
CVT high end trim is bordering Outback Price territory.. |

I have a 2011 WRX Hatch running Stage 3 AP.
My mods are Cobb Accesport V3 Cobb SF Intake Grimmspeed EBCS Grimmspeed TMIC W/Perrin Throttle Body to Intercooler Coupler Perrin Turbo Inlet Pipe Stock BOV Invidia Catless Divided Wastegate Downpipe Invidia Catless Catback Exhaust W/1 O2 sensor I'm currently running the cobb stage 2+sf 93 mt v331 LWG Map: I did a data log and took a picture of my parameters. I am still over boosting in every gear. I'm boosting up to 20.1 PSI and once I hit 3rd hear an at 5500RPM it throws a code and puts my car into limp mode. The code of course is the overboost code. The check engine light comes on, the cruise control flashes, the brake light comes on. Here is what my AP readings are in 1st-4th gear 120mph 11° degrees out and I'm in the Boost. mountains high altitude -10.11 11.76/19.57 Feedback Knock -1.40/0.00 Fine Knock Learn 0.00/0.00 Dyn. Adv. And second how the hell do I stop over boosting before I blow something up?? [ |

decent review. Some key points you were wrong on based on the Crosstrek Training given to Subaru Ambassadors:
1. The 2018 has more hp than previous models. Now has 152hp @ 6,000rpm 145lb-ft@4,000 2. 2018 0.6inc longer, 0.9inc wider. Same height as previous. 3. 2018 now has 55.3 cu ft cargo space with the rear seats folded down. 4. 2018 is only in CVT for Limited, all other models offer both 5.Cannot engage X-Mode at speeds above 12mph, only available on CVT models. 6. 2018 has new Raised StableX Suspension, wider track, 8.7inc ground clearance. Faster responding Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS). StableX has larger diameter struts and upgraded shock absorbers with heavier duty internal valving. 7. 6-way power driver seat only on Limited 8. 27/33 mpg CVT 23/29 6 Speed new larger 16.6 gallon fuel tank estimated 500 mile range 9. LED Steering responsive headlights standard on Limited only with High Beam Assist, Eyesight driver assist, and lane departure on both premium and limited. 10. Manual A/C on base and premium, Automatic on Limited 11. 2018 Has Sound Insulation Windshield only on Premium and Limited 12. New Harman head units, 8.0" only for Limited. 13. 2018 has new colors, Sunshine Orange and Cool Gray Khaki 14. 17" wheels on base and Premium, 18" on Limited. 15. 80% new engine components, new 2.0 direct fuel injection. 16. New structure based on Subaru Global Platform, less welds. 17. Generation 3 Starlink 18. 6MT has incline Start Assist when rolling back or starting on a hill 19. CVT more efficient torque converter. 20. The 2018 Crosstrek has more revamped than the previous models. |

it was a tough decision and I REALLY debated on a crosstrek over my WRX and tossing a lift and some All Terrains on it...
but at the end of the day, the WRX looks and performance swayed it for me (despite the fact that it's not as efficient as the Crosstrek) I'll likely pick one up as a daily commuter in a couple years when I get the WRX paid off great info! |
